I was surprised to see my walker on the front page this morning, thank you Tamer for doing that.
@ Clonehead...Until now, I would have not thought it coming across as steampunk....but the more I look at it. I totally see it. I know the legs really have that feel and the weathering adds to it.
In case anyone was wondering.The depth and shadows are not caused by oversaturation or contrast. There is no photoshopping going on here. The odd look to the paint that makes it look cartoonish.
Is all natural. Here is another pic from right after being done.
@ Sjefke...lol! Thanks. Aside from the front armor plates, (two pak40 cannon armor pieces cut and combined into one) the wolverine rocket launcher mount, (made with the dividers from a multi compartment storage tray and some other various parts) the cargo bin underneath the head in the back, ( storage rack for vehicle mines, taken off a 1:18 21st Century Toys American 1/2 track) and the mount for the quad 50 under the chin being scratch built (also taken from the 1/2 track with other various parts) Everything else was pieced together. I mean, yeah there was a lot of sanding and cutting to get stuff to fit. Only the above mentioned was totally scratched built.
