I finished another small batch of customs prior to Celebration, but didn't have time to photograph them until now...

First up, a new alien creature.  Head from Angelforge, torso from Ree Yees, and lower body from a MIB figure...

A couple of freighter pilots, primarily using modern Joe parts.

A Sakiyan (I stole the majority of this recipe from someone on Rebelscum a long time ago and can't remember who it was for the life of me, so my apologies to the original creator...)

And some Junk/easy customs.  A simple Chopper repaint and a couple of heads/parts swaps...

Love that first alien. Just perfect for any Sci Fi Verse, but especially SW. Off to share.

These customs turned out great. The GI Joe spacers look appropriately gritty. I really love the paint job and parts combination on the new alien. I've been looking at that head for awhile now and must say that the MIB tail, Davy Jones arms in combination with it works really, really well. Kudos on a brilliant concept!

Thanks!  I actually sculpted those arms.  Now you've made me realize that I should've sought out a Davy Jones figure!  lol.

Wanted to update my thread with my work for the latest Yakfinities contest...  I present my outer rim rebel militia squad:

The squad:

Twyne Buruub - Sullustan.  Excellent with silent weapons or with a rifle.  Wears scavenged clone army from a late Clone Wars battle that he survived.

Linth Betanue - Human.  Her parents were killed in the early days of the Empire when they protested their land being "annexed" by the empire.  Ever since, she's been on the run, hitting the Empire where she can.  She has trained herself as a slicer and carries a data spike in a protected case on her arm - which doubles as a handy weapon in a pinch.

Fozzik - Quarren heavy weapons specialist.  A being of few words. At home in a cantina brawl or taking down Imp landing craft with his rocket launcher.

Thank you!

(and thanks for the front page, Tamer!  I love how you shine the spotlight on everyone's work - I imagine it takes a lot of your time, but it's appreciated.)

I like the rebel militia team. Great mix of parts on Linth. I would love to see the body of Twyne under the robes. And by the way - fabulous job sculpting the "davy jones" arms, they look really great! What's the recipe for the lower portion of your Quarren?

The Quarren legs are from Darth Malgus with the Quarren warrior's feet inserted rather than the Malgus boots.  Very little painting done to them.  A simple wash and some drybrushing with a couple of different colors.

Twyne's body under the robes is actually a full Shocktrooper body.  To tell the truth, I only painted the parts that would be visible with the robes on - I was really lazy with him in that way.

I was looking back at some of your older customs and particularly enjoyed the pirate crew. Two question on the Mai figure: 1. Do you remember what you used for the scarf; 2. Did you ever find a paint color or combination to match the tone of Cho's skin?
