My Kind of Scum's customs thread
« on: October 03, 2013, 09:54:02 PM »
So, I figured it was finally time to quit being a lurker and start a thread for my own customs here.  You may have seen most of these at Rebelscum or Yakface, but this is definitely the most active place to "talk shop."

I focus mainly on background characters of my own design and hope to eventually start up on photonovels but that plan has taken a backseat since the birth of my daughter.

Anyway, here's a ton of photos.  Let me know your thoughts.

A bounty hunter:

Random spaceport backgrounder:

Mezgraf from the Dark Times comic series (made for a recent Yakfinities):

Tattooine backgrounder:

Spaceport luggage cart:

An astromech being used for as a dumpster-burner in a shady part of a spaceport...  (idea came from concept art from 1313)

Spaceport security guard:

Spaceport luggage handler:

Givin traveler:

More to come...

My Selkath traveler:

A repaint of a Droids character, trying to bring him more in line with the modern "realistic" figures:

Twi'lek girl - paint is kind of rough on this one...

Human female bar patron:

Adventurer with her droid:

Bith Coruscant "club kid" (recipe stolen, but I can't remember from who.  based on concept art for AOTC)

Better look at GNK droid:

More to come...

My take on a Clone Sniper:

Neimoidian traveler:

Sullustan traveler:

armored thug/bodyguard:

Duros trader:

Human traveler/trader:

Pantoran female  (need to add some tattoo markings to her face, probably to make her look more like a Pantoran):

Female bounty hunter:  (paint is rougher than I would like)

Weequay traveler:

totally blanking out on the species name, but another traveler:

more to come...

Stennes Shifter soldier-for-hire:

Background rough and tumble spacer:

Weequay thug/guard with attack "dog" :

Protocol droid:

Thug/Assassin: (Barabel?)

Abyssin traveler:

Sullustan adventurer:  (Need to add some gloss to his eyes as they look a little "dead" dull like this...)

Hotshot pilot:

Utai traveler:

More to come...

First of welcome to ISY! Let us know if you have any questions.

Now what a great group of custom figures! That is definitely my kind of way of saying hello. Off to share these on our front page and facebook page.

Great Stuff!  Welcome to the Yards!  I really appreciate the customs of normal people.  Many of us focus on Jedi, Clone Troopers, Stormtroopers, etc. but not enough regular folks.

Wow, that's the first good Selkath I've ever seen. How did you make him? What did you use for the head?

Wow.  Thanks everyone.  (and for the front page!  I'm honored, truly!)

The Selkath was a head cast I purchased online.  I will figure out whose cast it is and post it, but right now, I cannot for the life of me remember...

As Wreckage called out, that's one of the Space Precinct alien heads.  Some cutting/dremeling is required on them, but they fit into Star Wars well, in my opinion.

And thanks again, for the comments.  I will try to add more photos later this weekend.
