*** UPDATE - 02/17/17 - 2016 Showcase Video with a lot of custom Hasbro stuff ***

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi,
after the first and the second TIE-Fighter conversion, now I've finished a new TIE-Fighter conversion (V3.0):

"Hasbro TIE FIGHTER - KOOLSHADE EDITON 2013"

Still not 100% movie accurate, but imho for now my best collector piece.

What I've done with this Hasbro toy:

- *new* "3 part" wings with real "KOOLSHADE" material (similar to the material that ILM used '77 for the solar wings)
- *new* custom designed cockpit with LED floor ilumination
- *new* added missing joints / grooves on the hull
- more realistic cockpit window with all new "screw holes"
- LED ion engine lights
- "visible" engine parts
- lots of details added at the wings and the fuselage
- decals added
- "LED-design" laser canons
- stainless steel design base
- complete new repaint

Much more pics here:  http://maxx-replicas.jimdo.com/projekte-2011-2013/tie-fighter-3-0/
and a "making of" here (German language only but some pics) : http://maxx-replicas.jimdo.com/wip-projekte/tie-fighter-v3-0/

More new Hasbro conversions and new diorama coming very soon.

thanks for watching... :)

Wow, I so agree about the interior and add the exterior to that list too. I just commented on the front page about Rebel Con 3 and I would love to go just to see your work! Look for this on our front page soon.

HO LY COW! This is a beautiful conversion from the added greeblies to the paint and weathering. The fiber optic work on the interior is simply amazing. What a stunning effect! I have to learn to work with those and led's.

Here's my latest project - the XXL TURBOLASER TOWER (XXL TLT) fitting to the Hasbro 4" models and figures.
The hight of this model is about 24". The laser-canons can be pan and tilt (by hand).

Here you can find more pics of the XXL TLT:  http://maxx-replicas.jimdo.com/projekte-2011-2013/tlt-xxl/
and here together with my TIE X1 conversion: http://maxx-replicas.jimdo.com/projekte-2011-2013/tlt-xxl-x1-tie/

Here you can find about 100 pics of the making: http://maxx-replicas.jimdo.com/projekte-2011-2013/xxl-turbolaser/
