Thanks guys, your complements are appreciated! Will think about the Podcast thing - I can't say I've ever been asked to be a guest on a show!

Bespin finished up today - pics at: https://www.facebook.com/swplasticplaysets  --- will post them to the website when I get time.

I'm floored, man! :o These are awesome! I'm currently in the planning stages of making a Jabba's palace for my son, and trying to balance detail vs. durability, playability, etc. Your playsets have me thinking! Does instamorph respond well to sanding and tooling?

Thanks, hope this helps you pull off something cool. I've read it responds well to sanding and tooling. Sometimes it seems sanding helps clean it up, other times not. Maybe it has to do with the type of coloring I'm using? As for tooling, I know Drimmel things won't work - it melted the plastic. I have drilled out a few small holds well, though. Haven't tried anything else.

Hoth was melted down and re-shaped into "Hoth 2.0" - it's not all that different from the first version - more textured ice, better looking interior floors, and a computer.

I had hoped to have some plastic time over Labor Day, but my newly rebuilt deck needed staining instead. I did get a basic layout drawn of the next piece, though.

Sensational work on the Hoth playset and I just checked your site and all the playsets are just amazing.

Just fantastic! I actually thought that these were original Kenner playsets that never made it to the shops. I really cannot believe the quality and the retro styling is simply fantastic.

Thanks for the comments! I don't know if I feel that they're quite Kenner caliber, but they at least make nice prototypes! Hope to get going with the Podrace Arena very soon.

Your new version of the hoth set is amazing! I love how you integrated the Luke and Wampa pieces and the bacura tank.

I have to agree with Clint. I can't believe I haven't seen this till this morning. That playset is amazing. I would love to see a shot of your shelf display areas with all these dios in them. I would order two of that Hoth Playset! You have got to be pretty pleased with the results you are getting.

I would love to invite you to podcast with us at a future date (well into the new year at this point) as I think folks would love to hear how you got the idea to do this and hear about your customizing journey. I love the vintage graphics you are creating too. I would love to see boxes made for these to fit in. Have you ever thought about creating some vintage packaging for your great playsets?

On the front page again. I will try to do a better job seeing these. It sure does bring a smile to my face remembering my old Kenner days.

Thanks again for the kind words. I'm leaning towards "yes" for your podcast -- will be in touch soon.

For now, I've crafted a piece using some leftover plastic and put it up for auction. I've named it "Forest Ambush" - and certainly works well for a small Endor scene. Of course other action figures look great on it, too...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Custom-Plastic-Forest-Ambush-Playset-/200963930438?  - what are you waiting for, go bid! :)

I also started work on the Podrace Arena this morning. Here's the start of the bleacher section...

More plastic goodness to look over and as with your other playsets these are awesome. Just out of curiosity have you done other playsets or thought about other playsets from other movies.
