Here are my notes from the "Star Wars: Rebels" panel at NYCC yesterday:

(17 ) AT-DP is based on unused McQuarrie At-St design from "Empire". The original McQuarrie design actually appeared in the old "Star Wars" newspaper strip drawn by Al Williamson back in the early 80's so there is already precidence for this design being somewhat canon. This is a 2 person walker in which the gunner sits in front of and below the pilot like in modern military helicopter gunships.

That's odd, because I just looked at the drawing in the original ESB Sketchbook and this walker is clearly a Joe Jonston design! Is Lucasfilm/Disney dissin' Joe?

I don't think they are dissing Joe, just that the speaker probably said the wrong name. He made a few small fumbles, most of which were corrected, during the speech.

I simply cannot wait to see this on the show whomever is responsible! I think this better be on Hasbro's better make it or fans will revolt list along with a new Imperial Troop Transport. It also gives me hope that surely a full blown AT-AT is gonna be seen!

I am gonna slowly showcase those Rebels videos (link I listed above) on the front page.

i hope they throw us some Mara Jade action and some Admiral Tratacha, spelling, action as well. I wonder who trained that Inquisitor and how much action Vader will get if this guy seems to be doing the dirty work. Also i wonder if Starkiller will have any effect on the series. It'll be very interesting to see all this come to life and full circle.

ok so SW.com posted up a better pic of this Inquisitor guy that you can zoom in on and i didn't notice before in previous pic is that hos double saber also has this ring thingy around it, think of the General Grevious roleplaying saber that came out a couple years ago. i gotta say that is probably the stupidest looking design i've ever seen. i'd have prefered if they were going to give him double blade make 1 a normal size blade and 1 shorter like a shoto and make them detachable and be used like Ahsoka. just my 2 cents.

I gotta be honest that at this point the bad guy isn't really making me want to watch this. He seems like a cheap knock off of the character the Son from the Mortis story arc of The Clone Wars.

I love Johnston's concept art and his drawing style. Pretty silly of the announcer to get that wrong. It's like spelling Wookiee with one e  0/
