Been busy this late summer.......but had time to draw these four pictures!

Here is the galaxy's infamous/most wanted Bounty Hunter ,done in Noir style with high contrast.....it took me around 5-10 minutes from start to finish on this one...

Here is a Corellian light assault craft, it is a small ship, as the A-wing and 2-man TIE fighter shows....it is basically a ship to break through Alliance blockades or Imperial blockades without having a big target for them; it is similar in size to a Corellian Light freighter, but with weapons and more powerful engines, no cargo capacity....

This was a commission from a fellow Deviant Art fan, and it is a refinement of a design seen in some comics of "Stardestroyer Fighters", it is made by Corellian Systems and has two seats, and an astromech droid, as befitting a larger fighter than the TIE, it has shield generators, heavy cannons, single torpedo tube, and more powerful engines....I think it is also hyperspace capable...and is a development from the Aethersprite series and used by Imperials when heavily armed and armored fighters are needed and there are no Skipray Blastboats available.

And finally, this is a design of Mandalorian Transport shuttle, to replace the aging Theta-2X classes and to supplement the Aka'jor shuttles...it carries 12 Supercommandos and a crew of 3.
Hope you guys enjoyed this update! :)  bbfet

Been busy with family, life and stuff in general...still didn't stop me from drawing these TIE variants!

Three TIE Advanced fighters, one is the X-1 (Vader's personal rig) with repaired wing panels that is basically a hint towards the Interceptor shape... then the Interceptor developmental prototype/Advanced X-3A with same wing panels as the repaired X-1, and then the third fighter Prototype has them flipped forward, closer to the final Interceptor shape...however, there's those center panels that are there and reduces the visibility from the cockpit, though augmented by scope sensors on the outside... After a trial period, TIE pilots gave the feedback that the X-3A had better visibility, and that the X-3B was akin to riding a Bantha with Blinders... So the TIE Mod Team removed the center panels and everyone agreed that this was better for both visibility and for reducing sideways profile; and the Imperial Officers agreed that it looked most menacing, and introduced the fighter as the classic Interceptor we all know and love :)

A development of the TIE-GT fighter/bomber with the modified wing panels which now houses assemblies of shield generators and hyperdrive systems...the center hull is based somewhat on the short tube TIE-GT hull (not a sphere), and the wing pylons are similar to the Advanced X-1 but extended the length of the hull to provide more space for machinery and torpedo launch tubes. This is a TIE Escort Fighter/Bomber, with the agility of the A-wing, and the protection level of the X-wing, and a bomb load similar to that of the Y-wing.

And here is an even larger version; utilizing the same size hull as the TIE-SA bomber (twin hull version), but in an uni-pod shape, with similarly extended pylons which now houses large magazines of torpedoes/bombs  and advanced targeting sensors, whereas the 4 cannons on the centers of the wing panels are not laser cannons, but Ion cannons, for use against larger ships and capital ships as well...It also boasts 4 blaster cannons arranged equidistant around the cockpit viewport. It is also hyperspace capable and has powerful shields; and thus is called TIE-Assault craft. The wing panels are similar to the above ships but with Interceptor style dagger points on the front.

Those concept airspeeder drawings are awesome. I might use them for a scratch build I'm coming up with. If you don't mind.

I love the fett image.

The post with the TIE variants is great!  You have really take the details, shading and perspective to the next level on these.  I especially like the two views you drew for the center TIE.

What are you using for markers?  Don't be afraid to get a couple shades of gray in order to do some deeper shadows.  I also find that, depending on the paper you're drawing on, a 2nd time over a spot with the same color marker will deepen the shade as well.

I am using Tombow grayscale palette markers as well as some random brand colored markers for the colors..

Thanks! feel free to use them! :)

And an update...

V-TIE Light Interceptor design; the front hull is similar to the V-wing from the Clone Wars, while the rear is similar to a TIE fighter, it is basically a much smaller fighter, similar in size to the A-wing fighter, but still using the TIE systems....although because of the size of the TIE systems, the starship builder had to move the cockpit parts forward and add on a front hull to make up for the shrinkage in size...they also made the Radiator panels much smaller, as the engine system has been upgraded to the point that it does not need as much cooling surface for the performance. It boasts 4 cannons as opposed to the two chin blasters of the TIE fighters...

These are three concepts of TIE fighters...the top one is for a New Generation TIE Interceptor, I am not sure how many generations after the ROTJ ones would this be.... the pylons are hexagonal in cross section like Vader's TIE but instead of being perpendicular to the TIE ball, they are swept back by quite a bit, so as to allow better side view for the pilot. The wing panels are now triangles instead of the Interceptor 3-sided shapes. The middle one is my take on the TIE Clutch series mentioned in some EU texts, but redone in such a way that the TIE ball has viewports and side hatches on the sides where normal pylons would be, and the three pylons are placed behind the main ball... this allows the installment of a shield generator and a hyperdrive should one want to... I didn't like how the CGI concepts of the Clutches had the fin placed so close to the top, which would be a problem for the top hatch to open if at all....
And the bottom TIE is basically a redone TIE Fighter, hex panels but bent outwards instead of inwards, and pylons completely different.

Here is a concept for a new series of TIE fighters.. it now has an extended body like the Bomber, with room for machinery and an R series astromech socket...the pylons are now gone, replaced with the body and the large wing like units on each side, which houses the folding radiator foils..it features 4 medium cannons mounted equidistant on the main body, and the capability to actually land without damaging the foils, as well as room enough for a compact shield generator and possibly a small hyperdrive system.

This is either a developmental model OR a stripped down version of the above fighter, it now has normal looking TIE ball, but with side mounted blaster turrets and exposed machinery in the rear of the hull. You can now see that the Radiator foils are in the open position, and that there are openings in the wing form, this is to make it a harder target from above and below, while allowing good cooling effect while closed.

This is the New Generation Tie Interceptor in a more detailed appearance, you can see how it has a standard TIE ball, and fairly orthodox wing panels but they are triangles instead of 3-sided half-hex shapes, and that the pylons are now swept back from the ball, thus giving the pilot better view to the side on his scopes...with the improvements of the systems, the small size is no longer a constraint on the fitment of a hyperdrive unit or a shield generator, and this enables the fighter to be a better design for the TIE pilots.

This is a random design based somewhat on the elderly Delta-6/Delta-7 design shape, but improved with wing units mounted and folding S-foils housing a laser cannon on each end.. it is also similar to the Naboo Royal Cruiser from The Phantom Menace. It is a simple sleek interceptor ship with nice smooth lines.

This is a further development of the A-wing line of fighters, extended hull and with the addition of two foils that mounts the missile tubes on each end, this gives the interceptor the ability to carry 8 more missiles of a long range type, and the installment of the laser cannons to the inside of the hull as opposed to the outside takes up the space formerly used to carry the small missiles, but there is still a center missile tube on the bottom and a magazine of 4 in there.. This is a good long range Interceptor design.

This is a design collaboration between Koensayr (Y-wing) and Kuat Drive Systems to make a heavily armed light craft that can duke it out with Corvettes and Light Cruisers, as well as Convoy Escort ships.. it mounts two Quad laser turrets, two wing mounted cannon turrets, two medium Turbolasers in the nose, two missile tubes with 16 missiles each, and a crew of 4 to 6.... it is called the Spadenose because honestly, it resembles a spade with wings.

been quite busy with life..... new update!  :)

ARC-171 or 172, single seat ARC type fighter with armored turret for the R-unit; and B-wing type laser cannon mounts on the wings.

Next Generation ARC fighter/bomber, a replacement for the Y-wing and a complimentary heavy fighter to the new T-70 X-wings, Not sure about the B-wing design being viable for updating yet...

Custom X-wing Fighter/Bomber design, side by side seating in the wider cockpit module, and an Y-wing styled nose shape to accommodate two Ion cannons and a heavy Proton torpedo load, the S-foils are a different shape than the X-wing S-foils, the engines are similar to the T-70 X-wing (split cylinder front)

Going back to the Original Trilogy era; a tandem 2-seat X-wing trainer/courier with extended hull and 2nd cockpit added ahead of original cockpit

TIE Assault Transport design, essentially a TIE version of the LAAT republic gunship...
it is outfitted with a quad turret in the rear, which is flanked by the TIE exhaust ports, and 4 forward firing cannons, with small panels up front, and a large hex shape panel up top. The main hold can house either 4 shock troopers, OR two scouts on their bikes, with a central hatch that can allow the bikes to be dropped with the scouts on them.. It is colored in the new First Order/reborn Empire colors (light colored panels with dark colored spoking and main hull)

And last but not least, a heavily armed TIE Gunship, uses a standard looking TIE ball/pylon up front, but instead of wing panels on the ends of the pylons, there are twin cannon turrets in addition to the chin turret, and due to that, the radiator fins/panels have been moved up to the top/rear area, much like the Assault Transport, but with two extra fins/panels in a sort of K shape.  Hope you guys enjoyed this update! :)

Sorry for a long hiatus!!

Been busy with fiancee, life, and other things!

First up, a small Cruiser design, diamond-shaped, might be Corellian, might be Rothana Heavy Engineering...

Next up, a new starfighter; Hammer type...it has a hammerhead style front unit, with two turrets and couple of torpedo tubes, and the rear is very similar to that of the A-wing series.

Third, a Mon-Cal snub fighter, inspired by the Vought Flying Flapjack prototype... Obviously, this is a small fighter in the A-wing size.. but it is a different shape than most fighters.

Finally, a new generation Naboo Starfighter, engines have been moved to the midsection, front T shaped foil has been swept back to a more aggressive angle, and extra guns have been added on the ends of the T shaped foil. I have a few more to post in next post! :)

A few more to post! :)

A next generation TIE fighter; saucer shaped hull instead of pylons for more equipment and long range drive systems; as well as landing gear. (two pictures)

Next, a new generation TIE Interceptor; smaller, and with different wing panels

Finally, a small TIE Boarding shuttle with tri-wing design and 3 small autoblaster turrets. Hope you guys enjoyed them!
