Wow, I bet that one with the two shield generators would be tough to take out. Great new designs. Off to share.

Neat designs.  That light fighter looks like it would be an do-able kit bash with a Jedi fighter and a TIE interceptor or Vader's fighter.  If Interceptors didn't run $50+, I'd give it a go.

or you could.... make your own wing panels using those office light sheets for the texture, plastic C channels to hold the panels, and plastic strips for the borders...? ;)

been snowed in for last few days.....

got some work done!
Below; a B-wing command pod as the center hull for a Tie Based SCOUT fighter.... should a doable kit bash for you guys with broken B wings! ;)

A fleet group with the various modified Corellian craft, and yes that is the above fighter in the foreground :)

earlier take of the SCOUT fighter, its based somewhat on an old GI joe vehicle front cockpit that resembles a HIND-A front end (slanted front rather than vertical)

a super heavy duty Assault craft used by Mandalorians, it is outfitted with two Light Turbolaser pods and two heavy laser cannons, plus hidden autoblasters

a Cygnus Rho class Assault Turbolaser craft, it uses one large, heavy turbolaser, and is longer than the Lambda shuttle, has NO cargo/passenger space due to the super capacitors taking up the room along with an independent reactor for the turbolaser.

and a Medium Assault Air Speeder, four laser cannons and an R unit in the rear.

and now, here is a series of graphic fiction storyboard style images;

basically the backstory is that it is over a century since Battle of Endor, and the Scimitar (Sith Infiltrator) has been adrift in the Unknown Regions after the Fall of the various Empires, and the Dark Side is all over the craft, and has taken the two Dark Side consciousnesses of Darth Vader and Maul, since Anakin was freed from the Dark Side, he was able to come back as a Force Ghost, but where did the Darth Vader alter-ego Dark Side persona go? Similarly, what happened to the Dark Side consciousness of Maul?
the Droid in the ship is one of Maul's old training droids, and also one of Vader's old training droids, and since we have EU material stating it is possible for a ship or two ships to be sentient with the Force (Ship with Dark side, and Callista on Outbound Flight?), the idea is there that the two Dark Ghosts have taken over this droid and ship and has been locked in eternal combat (the Force vision); over the control of the ship and the droid pilot.

It sure would be cool to see some of these built in three and three quarter scale. Great work. Off to share.

Again, nice concepts vehicles and the Vader/Maul droid is a balanced blend of both Sith lords.  I especially liked the super heavy duty Mandalorian assault craft.   It definitely has a Mando feel to it.
I may head back to Gabrielle Bros.  They're clearancing Class 2 vehilcles for $9 (mini's and collector size).  Good fodder.

Hmmmm.  Worth an experiment, but I was thinking it would be easier to mold a panel (or two; left and right) from a TIE interceptor itself.  Keeping the mold flat, you could just pour in a 2-component compund.

actually; due to the form I envisioned for the wing units, I think my method would make a good molding model for a hard resin cast for the wing units....which would make it reproducible by having a single sided mold and making two units and gluing the panels together.... the most difficult part I can see would be the construction of the side engine pods...but with GI joe and so on for fodder, it is possible to make the side cooling intakes and engine covers pretty easily...the folding mechanism, I'm thinking probably use a rod and hinge system and a sort of "lock" tabs...maybe low power magnets?

got a few done up :) mostly B wing cockpit based, and a pilot based on the Robotix figure... :D

Pirate mash up of a B-wing cockpit pod, X-wing/Z-95 engine pods, and TIE Interceptor wing panels...."B-Tie pirate Ugly"

Kidon Pilot (the 2 seater arrow shaped Y-wing fighter design in earlier pages), based on the RObotix figure I have, but with a Star Wars styled helmet portion and breather tubes

two Pirate Starfighters, both are based on B-wing pods, but have different wing foil shapes, the one on the left looks closer to the Eta 2 style wing form, with X wing engine nacelles, while the one on the left is similar to the Phantom TIE tri-winged fighter, but with Chiss clawcraft styled thrusters on rear edges and with solid wing panels. they are both heavily armed

the Scimitar Sith Droid pilot from the storyboard idea...

another mashup, this time, using the central hull of a Cloakshape fighter and rear fin, and the wing units and front cockpit pod of a B-wing :)

hope you enjoyed them!

Your designs are phenomenal.
The B-TIE Ugly would be a great custom project.
I can't wait to see more of your drawings.

update! more uglies and customs!

A custom starfighter based on the venerable X-wing, but with custom engine and airfoils, it is more of a scout/light fighter in the class of the E-wing; below is the original pen sketch; name is Trigon Starfighter (Trigon is Hebrew for Stingray, in keeping with EU use of hebrew words)

the Trigon rendered in color markers

A custom Rebel Airspeeder based on the X-wing, going from the text information of converting old un-spaceworthy fighters into airspeeders, using X-wing hull

A rendering of the Corellian Pocket Patrol Boat, based on the HLA-500 design, and following the text info of having two crew, a single large cannon turret and being small and fast

A Mandalorian GUnship airspeeder, inspired by the HIND front, and kind of similar to the LAATi vehicles

A custom Incom product, the spiritual successor to the T-16 Skyhopper, a Combat Skyhopper for use in Planetary Security Forces, with 3 scramjets (similar units to the V-wing Airspeeder scramjets) for high speed transorbital combat

Another airspeeder, similar to the T-16 series with 3 foils, but using the front half of a B-wing cockpit pod, and two engines. it is a compact airspeeder with minimal armor and decent firepower for Patrol users

Yet another Rebel X-wing turned into an airspeeder with a different foil shape.

Now these look pretty daggone rad to me. I posted a YT Freighter Mod on Facebook this week that folks really commented on and I am thinking this might garner some similar response. Off to share and get folks all fired up!

Very cool! My favorite is that first airspeeder conversion with the orange markings. It looks like it would make a wicked aerospace fighter pulling double duty as ground attack, and space fighter.

another update, one Pirate Ugly X Wing with Y wing engines and a custom A-wing with 4 cannons and V-wing foils, and 3 different N1 Naboo Starfighter mods....

A-wing (either RZ-1 or R-22 Spearhead, both are same but with different engines and details ) with V-wing Foils and 4 cannons from V-wing; this provides the fighter with more firepower, and less risk of overheating the power generators by use of Foils from the V-wing series

Naboo Fighter missile mod, two large engines similar to X-wings or Z-95s, mounted to rear of cockpit to a custom midsection, kinda like the A-10 warthog, and missile launchers mounted on forward wingtips, thus making the center missile tube redundant, and replaced with a large laser cannon; this is more an attack fighter/strafing fighter

Naboo Starfighter, additional laser cannons and Novaldex J-77 type engines (RZ-1 A-wing engines) with A-wing style thrust vector rings and fins, this makes the elderly N1 a much more agile fighter able to keep up with the A-wings and TIE Interceptors.

Naboo Starfighter mod, not as extensively modified as the ones above, this fighter employs the Novaldex J-77 engines like the one above, but does not have the heavier extra laser cannons and midsection control system like the above two, this is a lighter, fast escort fighter, capable of the same speeds and agility of the A-wings, and on par with the A-wings in firepower.

Pirate Ugly X-wing hull with Y-wing engines, and custom winglet additions, this fighter has the same 4 laser cannons, and a larger complement of missiles, but it is still slower than the standard X-wing, although it is a good deal more reliable than other Uglies.

Nice, I like em all. It is so hard to pick one picture to use for the front page update.

these are cool, they look like concept drawings
