Alright…
Spud got me to look into GI Joe figures for Star Wars customs and I decided to re-launch my most recent Mandalorian character.

True to his backstory, it has to be a really badaxx type of guy, instant death on legs, a bad news type whom you don’t want to meet in a dark alley or on the battlefield.

An here some detail shots of the making-of this custom.

I started by taking three of the new ROC Joes apart by the method Spud described in his great video tutorial. Altogether, I needed parts from five Joes.

Let's start with the parts and test-fitting:

Here's the figure:

Rinsing the figure with warm water in preparation of the basecoat:

Understandably, I do the spraypainting outside:

Altogether, I needed parts from five Joes.

Here's the figure:

Taking my stab at the recipie...

Drednok Torch head (I just bought one this week!)
Cobra Eel upper torso
Heavy-Duty lower torso? (think so because I think that's the Heavy Duty grenade-launcher with no stock up there)
Heavy-Duty legs

not sure about the arms

Then there's the Jango pieces, a "Solo blaster" (DL-44) modified with what appears to be an Uzi folding stock, and a Solo? gunbelt.  I think Boba donates a helmet and gauntlet?

Doc, you're getting close.
You've got a really sharp eye.

Let's see:

Head: Assault on Cobra Island Outback
Upper Torso: ROC Neo Viper
Lower Torso: ROC Shipwreck
Arms: ROC Heavy Duty
Legs: ROC Snake Eyes

Helmet: EE Exclusive B'arin Apma
Beskar'gam: Jango Fett
Gauntlet: Electronic Backpack Jango Fett
Gunbelt: Milennium Falcon Han Solo (not sure if I'm going with this one or Jango's buscadero gunbelt, though...
Pistol: well recognized, Doc: BlasTech with UZI folding stock attached
Grenade Launcher: Marauder Gun runners launcher w. stock removed and shoulder sling of Battlefront II Sniper figure attached

that is definately a combo of joe parts that I wouldn't have probably thought about using.  But I'm sure that you're using what your able to get your hands on.

A little tip about joes, if you can't find the EXACT figure you need for a part look it up on "yojoe.com" and there is a section of each figure's description that breaks down what parts of what figure was used to kitbash it.  Normally you can at least find one of the figures that uses the same part around...  thank hasbro for that.... lol

hey ck.. I was just thinking about your figure.  did you say you had a couple diver figures as well?  they have realy neat looking gauntlets already on their arms...  with a couple greeblies glued on they'd look like great mando gauntlets and yet not be the overused boba or jango gauntlets.
