Thanks, Tamer. It's always cool to see one's work appreciated.

Really great upgrades here.
Is the Shadow ARC trooper a total repaint?
Is that your detailing on things like the belt buckles?

The Shadow ARC is a full no-paint kitbash. He has the head of a Saga Commander Cody (which, as far as I am concerned, is the nicest Clone headsculpt Hasbro has ever done), the pauldron comes from a Sandtrooper, the belt/kama comes from a Hunt for Grievous Battlepack Captain Fordo figure and the blaster carbine is a standard ARC blaster with the stock removed and the sling re-attached.
No painting whatsoever.

I have no idea how many kitbashers have the exclusive Shadow ARC figures and the Hunt for Grievous Captain Fordo, but the figure is easy to make. If you don't want to sacrifice any original figures, you can always paint them up, of course.

Everybody loves the exclusive Mandalorians, but somehow I've never liked their headsculpts.
When sorting through my figures, I did some simple headswaps. The male headsculpt is from a GI Joe Dusty figure, the female headsculpt is from a Star Wars Padme pilot. Both heads needed to be dremelled out to fit the figures.

Untill Doc Outland's dio bases become available, I'm making do with some scraps from our R&D Department.

After having used the belt and shoulder pauldron from the original figure for a project, I threw a spare belt/pauldron rig from a Captain Fordo on him and decided that I like the new look. The DC-17 carbine fits the clip holster nicely, too.

That new Clone looks good on our front page. More comments on those Mandos there too.

One of the reasons I like the ARC Trooper Captain figure so well are the accessories he comes with. They are great to equip other figures, too.
If you look at the tons of accessories the GI Joes come with, it is hard to believe that Hasbro can't do the same with Star Wars.
The little weapons caches were a step in the right direction, though. Too bad they abandoned them. Imagine they had packed one of these in with the ARC Captain. Still, the extra helmet and the pauldron are cool accessories.

While I'm ranting: there's no reason for a Star Wars figure not to be ball-joined everywhere either.
Hasbro, do you hear me?

A buddy traded me this Black Series Biker Scout at our local action figure roundtable yesterday evening, so I finally could finish my Scout Sniper of the Imperial Special Forces Brigade.
Again, it is mainly a no-paint kitbash with the pistol holster transferred from the Scouts right ankle to the right hip and an added backpack from an EVO (?) Trooper.
I'm still debating if I should add a shoulder pauldron or not. I might, but I wanted to retain the "light" appearance befitting a Scout Sniper without too much bulk of a "heavy".

That backpack looks really great. So cool to see you back and posting again CK! Still marveling at some of those ARC Combinations you posted last time.

Sweet! Makes me want to unlock those in Commander...
