Other action figures to turn into parts

Hello,
since we are not well supplied with useable 3 3/4" action figures, I'm always looking for new possibilities to win parts for SW custom projects. I just recently stumbled over a new series called G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra on the internet, but have not seen them hands-on.
Would any of you be able to advise if they are any good for looting of parts?

They work fine, my man.  They are pretty much identical to the 25th anniversary joes, complete with removable heads!

They take a bit of practice to "crack open" to get at the arms and what not, but once you get the hand of it, its fine.

Additionally, some figures come with really rad gear, have you seen the pit commando?

No, I haven't.
Our toy stores stock some crappy no-brand action figures, sometimes you can find Indiana Jones and Pirates of the Caribbean (usually the same places where you find Star Wars), but that's it.
I saw the G.I. Joes on the internet.
Maybe I'll have to import some through a Lone Ranger stunt.

The toyshop in the neighbouring town has a couple of Indian Jones Marion Ravenwoods solo figures and two-packs with the Arab swordsman marked down (EUR 4,99 single figure and EUR 7,99 two-pack).
Picked me up a Marion for the head alone and let's see what can be done with her body. fett

Marion's head fits nicely on a CW Cody body.
Just perfect for my new project covering the 175th Special Operations Group...

my newest mandalorian female figure was made using a rise of cobra gi-joe.  The black mando was also made using one.  I've made countless customs with the 25th aniversary joes.  Other than for customs the rise of cobra figs aren't going to be good for much......  :-\
