Topic: ISY 2012 Secret Santa Custom Figure Swap - POST YOUR GIFTS!

When I organized this years Secret Santa over at Imperial Shipyards, Darksider80 stated that he wanted to participate early in the sign-up process, but fogot to send his mailing address before the deadline arrived.  I matched everyone up, and then after all the emails were sent, I heard a response from him.  I felt bad leaving him out of the event, especially since he was relatively new to the custom action figure forum community.  The last thing I wanted was a talented customizer to feel left out by a new community he was choosing to participate in.  As a solution I decided to create one extra figure and do a figure swap with Darksider80 on top of the one I was formally doing for the event.  I read in his blog that his favorite custom action figures were snowspeeder pilots and I got busy working on one.  It was actually the last action figure that I started, but as usual, it was also the first one I finished.  I also finished one of the Yakface Secret Santa customs, but since it is part of a set, I won't be posting it until both figures are completed.  My official Secret Santa custom action figure should be finished by the end of the week.  At least I'm hoping it will be.  I've been working hard at completing it, and only have a little further to go.  Hopefully, I'll have another figure posted soon.  Unitl then, enjoy the Rodian Snowspeeder Pilot that I just wrapped up.

Seriously, this fig is amazing.  And you wanna know the best part?  He didn't name her or give her a back story.  THOSE ARE MY FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT MAKING CUSTOMS!  Right away, I decided her name was Rave De'gan and she was the youngest member of the Cuy'val Dar...specializing in urban tracking and "unlawful entry".

So many great creations are being given and received! This is such an awesome event, thanks Brian for getting this started!

So I got word Elias opened my gift to him and was pleased. That means I can finaly post these pics I have been holding on. Here is the Mando featuring a new bucket mash up, custom riffle so he can shoulder it, soft goods strap, removable armor, greeblied out kama and fully weathered as if he lives for a good sand storm. Then I wanted to make a small dio/stand combo in my typical trash to treasure style. So I looked in a bin that held leftovers from my recent Rebel Base dio and threw a little something together.

Well today brought my Secret Santa gift - and what can I say other than wow!!!



She is a beautifully sculpted and painted Female Endor Scout! I was totally blown away by this figure and she now has pride of place on my custom shelf!





The quality of the fine web gear work is mind blowing, just look at the slings on the macros and rifle!



The earpiece looks fantastic - and the whole figure comes together so well!



Bit my favourite feature? The quality of paintwork on the figures face - the eyes, the hair, the skin tone - all are absolutely off the hook! I only wish I could paint so well!
