AT-MT on Ebay.. greatest use of a toolbox yet!
« on: June 25, 2009, 03:08:05 PM »
http://cgi.ebay.com/Custom-AT-MT-walker-vehicle-army-jedi-clone-lot-of-8_W0QQitemZ290325923542QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item4398c606d6

I found this on Ebay, and I have to admit it's the most creative use for a toolbox yet! It even amazes me that the creator was able to use so many of the toolboxes natuarl features as vehicle/playset features.

It's just a shame 6 walker legs had to be lost to this :\ I also see the top turret from the GI Joe amphibious transport/carry case on the side...

Thoughts?

Why go through life base fig, when you can customize?

That DOES look pretty sweet!  Kinda goofy, with those latches on the side, but cool none the less!

That one is indeed interesting. I wonder if it will get a bid?

the poor walkers that lost their legs and all thenewly  homeless tools.... oh the horror....
it looks pretty cool. and that is innovative as well as functional.
how many clones could you really fit in this thing?
very nice but a little steep price wise for me though.

Funny, I was thinking "I bet he ordered replacement legs and decided to use the old ones to make this"

I still need replacement legs for my ATTE, :(

Shows how much I know...why would ya need replacement legs if you have them handy for building a frankenstein like this thing?

rumor has it, and segnett I think started the rumor, that if you contacted hasbro, they'd send you six legs to replace your walker's faulty ones.

Not a rumor but the truth. I don't know the link and never got around to replacing mine but that option does exist.
Too many people complained about their atte's legs falling off.

man that was pretty cool.  I think I could do it a little better though...  but I'd never had the idea in the first place! lol.   the kids liked it too, the ability to have something that could simultaneously store figures and be a play object is what attracts me to it.  I might turn a large tupperware bin into something some day for the boys.  Perhaps a large space freighter or something... idk.
