The head doesn't move around that well.  I guess that's the trade off for having the better head sculpt.  I did remove some of the restrictive areas to provide some movement.  I debated taking off everything below the chin and resculpting it all in green stuff so he would have no restictions at all, but I went for the quick fix so I could still get a custom posted on the blog this week.  It was nice that I was able to keep the Cantina theme going since Chewbacca has the New Hope hairstyle.  I would have invested more time on this figure but I had just gotten home from vacation and I had to spend any free time I had left unpacking and preparing to return to work.  I would guarantee that anyone who is willing to go that extra mile is sure to have one awesome Chhewbacca figure when all is said and done.

I sure do like Colin's work too. I don't know why that guy doesn't post here! I am sure he will love seeing this. Off to share.

Colin doesn't have a computer.  He just uploads whatever pics he takes of his figures from his phone to Facebook.

Thanks L.E.! We had a blast at your house.  We'll definitely make the effort to stop through whenever we are in NC.  The fodder trade was awesome!  What I really enjoyed the most was seeing all your art in person and getting to hold them in my own two hands.  Not even museums have that kind of accessability.

I really appreciated that you helped me figure out the proper mix ratios so I could start molding and casting some of my original pieces.  Your help molding my generic Weequay pirate head was priceless.  A head that took me a few hours to make now can be made every 5 minutes. I already put your lessons to work.

I APOLOGIZE EVERYONE FOR THE BLURRY PICS, THE PHONE ON MY CAMERA DOESN'T HAVE A GOOD MACRO FEATURE. (I'LL TRY AND POST BETTER PICS SOON.  HOPEFULLY A POST WITH A FEW FINISHED PIRATES)

Hopefully these guys come out as good as the original:

Because of the help you provided, I now have ten pirates ready to be made into unique figures for Hondo's pirate gang.  I'm going to mold and cast some braids to help me accessorize these guys a bit on my next day off.

I apologize to everyone for not sticking to making an action figure a week as of late, but after doing so for the last 3 years, Daddy needs a break.  That said I am still hard at work making customs.  I just haven't had any close to completion lately.  That is until today.  I actually only started her last night at Elias' request, but I was able to finish her up rather quickly.

P.S. - I just finished the sculpt and paintwork on my General Pong Krell and shipped it out to customizer Hyperdrive for his soft goods.  Check back soon to see one cool collaboration.
