Wow, just an awesome Bith. I envy you two sometimes. Every now and then I try to get my daughter into this and she rolls her eyes about Daddy and Star Wars. You two are just doing awesome work and seeing you two work together brings a smile to this old face. Truly customizing is about who you are sharing it with and you two are fine exemplars of that. Great addition to the cantina, Elias! 

I was curious about you opinion on something: do you think you get better results by priming your figures in black first before dry brushing them?  Or do you think your results are similar if you don't apply a primer coat of paint first?

Priming the figure completely in black is the only way to go.  I've seen a huge improvement in the quality of my paint applications since I started doing this.  It's the black undercoat that provides the illusion of depth once the color is drybrushed in.  Definitely take the time to prime the figure in black first.

Man I love your Melas! Very nice job on him! Also loving Llrin! Great job on the "hard sculpting", I love that term and plan to start using it! Banis Keeg is another masterpiece! Both of you are boing some great work!

Most of them have only been filmed from the shoulders up in A New Hope.  Really south of there is a free for all.  Open to artist interpretation.  I did get the recipes for Lirin Car'n and Chachi De Maal from customizer Peakob1.  Melas, Elias did on the fly.

A week or two ago on Facebook, I saw the coolest Chewbacca action figure ever.  It was a custom Chewbacca figure created by Colins Customs.  Colin had used a Bust Up Chewbacca with Hasbro's Vintage Chewbacca action figure to create one of the best representations of the character I've seen yet.  Especially, Chewbacca with the slicked back hair look from A New Hope.

We're not surprised that Colin came up with such a cool custom as this Chewbacca, Colins Customs' probably the most prolific Star Wars custom action figure artist out there today.  His collection is incredible, including almost every Star Wars character you can think of.  Colin's created them all.  

While on vacation, I made a version of Colin's Chewbacca for Elias' collection.  Thanks Colin for one awesome idea for a Star Wars custom action figure.
