The Clone Wars Vulture Droid
« on: June 03, 2009, 04:03:41 AM »
Also got this one at Walmart for $24.95

After years of not having a correct scaled Vulture Droid, Finally, here it is. And what a stunning version!
Like the magnaguard fighter, the box art is impressive on this one and the earlier rumored back-drop pack-in is also absent.

This guy features an excellent representation of the ROTS paint job and has two missile launchers in the ships belly with 4 extra missiles stored on the end of the wing tips. The really cool thing is its ability to change from flight mode to ground attack mode. wings extend out slightly to reveal multi hinged connection points for the wings to become legs and the multi position head pops out away from the body at the touch of a button. Now this is the Vulture Droid that we have been looking for. Were I into stop-action animation, I would try to animate this guy walking around and the incredible variety of leg positions would certainly make it possible.

What else can I say? This is another Win for Hasbro!

I am also very pleased with this ship. Both it, and the Magnaguard fighter were well worth the wait.

Y'know...I really don't have a use for either (that I know of right now), but they look SO GOOD that Hasbro should be encouraged and applauded for their work - and the best way to do that is to BUY THEM!  So I reckon I'll have to, now...

That vulture does look good. Man it is hard being only TESB now. My willpower is slipping.
