Welcome to the Shipyards. It is great to see so many custom Mandos. On the front page.

I am a big Karen Traviss fan too.

Welcome to the yards! Great job on these mandos! I'm a huge Mando fan myself, nice to see another Mando maker in the house! Maybe your mandos and my mandos could get together some time ;)

Welcome aboard and
Thanks for sharing your great looking mandos with us.
I like the bread tie for a rifle strap trick. It looks good.

Ever since I first opened the very first RC set, it's always bothered me that Fixer didn't have his headset piece and shoulder ammo piece, and I'd longed to fix it somehow. Here's the result, though I'm going to improve it soon, as this is more of a test than anything. Turned out better than I expected, though the antennae were a pain in the shebs to attach.

So...here's my Republic Commando Fixer "fix-it."

Hello again, fellow shipyarders! I'm back with a ...llooonnng.... overdue update. This has actually been "finished" for months already, but I have been randomly adding improvements to it over time.
So, here it is: Darth Revan.
Seeing as how the Hasbro rendition of Darth Revan is going for upwards of $50 USD or more online, I decided I had enough of wanting one for myself and might as well tackle the challenge of making one. One thing I noticed about the Hasbro version was that the helmet was all wrong, according to comparisons with game cutscenes. So...here goes:
...oddly, enough...my pictures make him look shorter than he is..

more pictures of close-up shots of the helmet/hood
I sculpted the mask out of modeling clay, baked it, and painted it...I'll try to post up some pre-baked pics later.
pic three shows a more close-up of the chestplate. There's a kind of dent in the center with cracks leading off of it. XD

More pictures...
1&2 show the metal rings that I "made" for Revan. I used the wire-twisters once again, only this time I stripped them of their plastic coverings and bent them into ring shapes and hangers. For the center ring, I cut a big paperclip and used pliers to bend it into a ring shape.
3&4 show the "articulation" of the center red strip and the skirt. I threaded a wire-twister into the skirt edge and stuck another onto the back of the center red strip.
