Awesome clearance scores on the way home from work today!

I got 3 more Papo Fire Dragon w/Minotaur sets for $1.98 each at TRU in Totowa and an Eaglemoss "Doctor Who" Silent figurine for $9.98 at Gamestop in Totowa.
The Silent is a non articulated resin figure but it is scaled to the action figure line. I picked it up because I doubt Character Options will ever get around to making the Silents in the 3.75" line.

Got my package from www.whona.com containing 5 more 12th Doctor in space suit figures.

I will headswap the figures to make generic spacers for my diorama as the main reason I bought them was for the space germs (spiderlike creatures).

I see the flu is hitting you hard Dan. I hope you feel better soon. Good to see you getting some goodies though.

My awesome wife surprised me today with a great "feel better gift" (I am battling the flu)- another Schleich Big Knights Castle that she found on clearance at TRU for $29.98!

Now I have 4 of them and I will be able to make a massive circular castle with them!

Here is the FINAL configuration of my Schleich Big Knights Castle containing 4 sets.

This thing is ENORMOUS! It measures 64" across (length and width are the same as it is circular) and 21" tall at the top of the highest tower (it is a full 24" tall if you count the flagpole atop the tower).

I cannot get over just how awesome this playset is and really wish I had something of this scale and complexity when I was a kid  ;D

The leftover parts- 2 more central stone areas (like under the tallest tower) and 5 unused stone "elbows" will be uses for future customs projects. An additional central stone area and 3 elbows are being used for my in-progress "Skull Mound" diorama.

I found a single Tamashii Nations "Burning Flame" Effect (Red Ver.) at Barnes & Nobel after work today!

This thing is AWESOME (2 of the flames are even ball jointed for additional posing!) and I want these in every color of the spectrum right now!

Oh man, that fire is awesome. Is that a 4" Gandalf? Curious about the scale. I've seen random imports/collector items at Barnes & Noble before, I'll have to keep looking. Or buy boatloads of hot glue  ;D

That Gandalf is indeed 4" (actually 3.75" scale but he is quite tall so he stands just over 4").

I just can't get over how cool these Bandai Tamashii Nations Tamashii Effect Burning Flame Action Figures are!

Thanks to Dan posting on these I did a little research on good ole Amazon.com and have found that there are three different colored versions of this:

Red

Blue

and a Dark Purple

Couldn't you just see Darth Vader, the Emperor, or your favorite Sith or Jedi Character surrounded by these! Click here to get see em all.

Actually Bandai Tamashii Nations effects are available several places. BBTS has them for sale or pre-order (some are sold out already). There are the fire effects, ground impact effects (in gray and beige and a magma one), wave effects (clear and blue), aura effects (blue and yellow), "thunder" effects (blue and yellow), explosion effects (grey and red). There may be other effects as well, but these are the ones I'm familiar with.

Barnes & Nobel (Rt 17 in Paramus) score!

The "Doctor Who" The Curator set was 50% off. I do not collect the 5.5" range but have been eying the lenticular "Gallifrey Falls No More" painting since it was released a few years back so I grabbed it for that.

If anyone is interested in the 5.5" Curator (4th Doctor Tom Baker's surprise cameo in the 50th anniversary special) figure LMK.

Well Dan started off the end of last week with a cool review of their Red Burning Articulated Effect and  I started doing a little digging.

Well now I have found out that they have a ton of different style effects like the blue lightning you see above. There is also a yellow version of it.

There are also just a ton of different ground, wave, and explosion effects too along with awesome looking display stands for that one of a kind action figure or custom. Click here to go peruse em all. Good luck buying just one!

Picked up another 8-bit Luigi today at Target. They have an 8-bit Mario in modern colors, and I plan on customizing this one with the modern colors for Luigi.
