Since I was still recovering from a cardiac procedure on my birthday, I was unable to do anything fun to celebrate it.

Tonight, Liz took me out for the first part of my 42nd Birthday Do Over!

Here is what I got tonight:









I also got 2 new pairs of sneakers.

There is more coming soon as my 42nd Birthday Do Over is not over yet! :)

This is to make up for my not having any real birthday gifts for the last 3 years due to financial woes stemming from family health issues.

Liz is going all out for me this year. There are still 2 gifts to come: more shelves and 3 new display tables for my hobby room :)

I picked up these new "Animal Planet" giant mutant bug sets at TRU.

They were $14.99 each. I had $10 in rewards bucks so both sets only cost me a little over $21 with the tax :)

Awesome lookiing Dan. Am I correct in that you just collect the Kaijus? I am seriously, seriously thinking of starting a Pacific Rim Shelf. I would have to have the Jaegers too though. I am so stoked this movie series is continuing. It was just one tough movie to me. Big Robots vs. Big Monsters equals win in my book any day.

I just collect the Kaiju as they were in part designed by one of my favorite SF/Fantasy artists, Wayne Barlowe. He also designed creatures for "Avatar", "Hellboy 2", and several books of his own art which depict extraterrestrial and other dimensional lifeforms.
