I just got this awesome McFarlane Fantasy Series Eternal Dragon in the mail. My friend Matt picked it up for me at Assembly Required a few weeks back.

As I am still out of comission due to this respiratory infection (I am breathing better, but still not freely), my wife surprised me with this beautiful Safari Ltd. Phoenix to add to my mythological menagerie!

Newest acquisitions! Tanooki Mario and Fire Luigi from the World of Nintendo line (4.5 inch figures). The Fire and Tanooki powerups are some of my favorites, and the Tanooki Mario figure itself is fantastic. The tail is movable as well. I always wanted a Tanooki Mario figure ever since Mario 3 came out for the original Nintendo. If they come out with a Hammer Mario figure I'll go nuts lol.

I discovered that TRU will price-match several competitors' online prices in addition to their in-store prices so I decided to pick up the 2 Schleich items TRU carries that Walmart.com had for crazy low prices.

The scorpion rider, regularly priced at $49.99 at TRU was $28.20 on Walmart's site.

The Dragon Flyer, regular TRU retail $28.99, was $14.92 on Walmart.com.

Saved quite a nice chunk of change and picked up some stuff I have been wanting since I saw them at Toy Fair in February :)

Too bad I did not know about the price-matching last week when Walmart.com had the Dragon Battering Ram and Dragon Warrior in stock for about half of TRU's price :(

Last week, after payng the rent, car insurance and various other responsible adult things, I decided to treat myself to some Schleich items that are not carried in brick and mortar stores anywhere near me. I ordered 3 items from www.Walmart.com and 2 of them showed up today (the final item is arriving tomorrow).

I picked up Bullmeras (troll/giant) w/giant firing crossbow and the Dragon Fighter.

I got 2 AWESOME Schleich items for Christmas!

My in-laws got me the TRU exclusive Blue Dragon w/rider that I have been wanting for over 3 years and my wife got me the Griffon w/rider to comlete the set :)

Sadly, some jerk stole the Griffon Rider's spear (Schleich uses open box packaging and this is a common occurence) but I will not let that diminish my joy :)
