CustomCreator's dioramas
« on: June 08, 2011, 11:08:04 AM »
Sorry they aren't Star Wars related   :-\  but if there is one thing about dioramas, is they stretch through all genres, and things can be learned from each style/scale.

If you've been around the custom world for a while, chances are you have seen most of these. If you haven't, then enjoy!

Sigma 6 Warehouse office

As you will be able to see, I can easily change this from a Joe "office" to a Cobra "office" by replacing a couple of accessories and turning the crate around. That way, I can use it for pictures of both sides.

COBRA STYLE

I keep the accessories in one of the "55 gallon drums"

WOW! those are simply amazing, some of the images look lifesize!

Obviously I'd love to see you create something Star Wars/Scifi related and hopefully if you stick around you will turn your talents to the genre...

Uh, Wow!

Yepper I am with Jules, I would love to see what you could do with a SW dio, but these are fantastic.

That back alley looks real and that gothic set would be good to use with so many lines! I could see lucasclones using that for some of his Star Wars zombies.

Great stuff on the front page.

Color me very impressed! Those look fantastic and very well executed. Your details make them very complete and real looking. Those shots of the alley dio had me convinced that I was looking at a photo of a real-live location.

CC, glad you made your way to the yards old friend. I figured I knew who this was from GTG Customs. We were almost the only 2 trying to keep the site active last year. You know I am a huge fan of your work and glad to see it on display here. I know you don't do SW customs and that is fine! We love customs of all types here so make yourself at home and post some of your other lines and Sigma Six customs, thay are mind blowers as are your dios. You are a very tallented guy and there is a lot we could learn from you.

Wow, thanks everyone for your nice comments  ;)

Not sure when I got started building dioramas. Actually, that's not true...lol. The first dio I built was for a co-workers nephew for Christmas probably 8 years ago?? It was this:

@damonsfast: They came from some slime toy that was out a while back: http://www.tintoyarcade.com/products/Black-Barrel-O-Slime-Texas-Tea-Oil-Drum.html

Here is another commission job I did for a guy over on the Spawn Boards. He wanted a Sigma 6 Sub-Zero, but I thought it needed a base, so I came up with this:

FROSTY!

BASE:

Wait, it lights up??
