The Imperial Shipyards Win a Custom Mando Contest
« on: April 14, 2009, 04:11:17 PM »
Well, the time is finally here, when I can reveal the rules and time line of this contest.

Up for grabs are my custom desert camo mando and the desert diorama that I made for him, details of which can be found in either my customs or diorama threads.

To be elegible to compete in this contest you must be a registered Shipyards member. Shipyards staff members are, of course, not eligible to win.

RULES:
To compete in this contest, you must simply tell us in one posting , here, in this thread, "Why this custom belongs in your collection" or "why your collection deserves this custom in it". Something along those lines. As I said, only one posting per member although you may edit your post as many times as you like. You may post pics if you so wish and I'm sure that if Tamer was competing, he would show pics of the little Clonehead shrine that he has assembled in his basement. ;D
This contest will run from the moment I finish this posting until May 1st 2009 at which time, myself and the other admin, will review all of the entries and decide who of you has submitted the best reason why he or she should have this custom in their collection.
I will pack and ship the custom mando and his dio to the winner, wherever in the world you are.

That gives you just over two weeks, folks, so lets get to submitting those entries.

I would like to have this Custom Mando in my collection , because I am a fan of Mandalorians, especially Boba Fett , who is my favorite character.  fett Though he is my favorite, I only have one figurine of him.  I also am a fan of the scout and AT-RT troopers.  This figurine would feel welcome in my collection, as it is mostly an army of troopers.  This figurine would be an awesome addition to my collection.  Thanks for welcoming  me to the yards!  Speaking of welcome, do you think that custom fig would feel welcome  among some figurines like these?

Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side.

Both but I can't remember where in Australia, exactly. It's been a year ago, Probably. One item was a Grey's Anatomy calander. LOL

I would love to have this unique Mando custom!
I think it would inspire me to complete my desert themed AT-AP walker. (similar to http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u27/Order66Customs/DesertATAP2.jpg this one which is NOT mine)

I would also love him, and squeeze him and call him George!  fett

Great work man, great work! Even if I don't win I think who ever gets this will be very happy.

Sten

Why go through life base fig, when you can customize?

I have no other dios or Customfigs in my collection so this may inspire me to get off my aussie backside and complete my Endor dio i tried to involve my daughter with. Sorta got moved aside but i'm sure i'd get motivated by  this custom by its side......

 ;D
