I do agree with Doc Outlands, your creations are so amazing that it is a shame you've ejaculated them all on the first page of your post, so many of the members will miss out on seeing them that way!

Why not post these again at intervals so that we can ask questions and get some insight into how they were made. As an avid vehicle customiser I'd love some clues as your ships are totally out of this world!!!!

Please take this post as a compliment, as I am an instant fan of your creations!

Thanks!, I appreciate your comments on my ships :)

I am glad that everyone is enjoying my work, but as to why I put everything up at once instead of in drips and drabs, I want to make sure that everything is here for people to peruse at their leisure so I can post newer creations when they are finished (and there are alot of new ones coming in the next few weeks- not to mention the next few months and years :) ) instead of waiting weeks for everyone to catch up(especially with my "storyline" customs seen in my custom figure thread, if i posted the latest "chapters" people reading would be lost as to what is happening). I know it is alot to digest, but with everything here at one time, people can take it all in at a pace they are comfortable with. I still remember all of the parts and techniques I used to create everything (even going back to my oldest work) so I can answer any and all inquries whenever they arise :)

Ok, Spectre you are forgiven!

Now onto business...I absolutely love the "Ugly" with the Joe Skyhawk cockpit, please can we have the secret to it's creation?

Welcome to the Shipyards! It's hard to believe that I have never seen your work before as there has been alot to miss.
Your first page of posts have to contain some of the best examples of scratchbuilding and kit bashing that I have ever seen.

Thanks for forgiving me :)

The Ugly w/ the Skyhawk cockpit is primarily made from a ton of old Ertl Star Wars kits from the 80s (DV TIE for the body and wing panels, 2 B-Wings for the gun bases and cuttings from the A-Wing and X-Wing kits) with a vintage Joe Skyhawk fuselage and canopy cover (w/handlaid action figure bubble trimmings for the "glass") inserted through the windshield opening on the DV TIE. The truncated end of the fuselage is held in place with lightweight silicate caulk (to bond it to the inside of the styrene DV TIE) and contour putty to make everything match up, the rest is just surface detailing trimmed from a bunch of old models and G.I. Joe toys.

I created it simply as an excuse to use the Skyhawk body I got in a  lot (lot contained  over 300 ARAH Joes, a complete Terrordrome, almost every pre-1991 vehicle except for the Flagg, and several thousand accessories all purchased for $25 from a guy that came into my friend's comic shop looking to get rid of his kid's stuff when he went away to college :) ) as it looked sufficently spaceworthy once the glass was installed. The rest of the ship came about as I fiddled with different shapes (mostly looking at the connection point where the body of the starfighter would link up with the back of the cockpit of the Skyhawk). I, to this day, have still not painted the front replacement landing gear you see in the pics and I built that ship in 2002 :-[

Yes, I echo what Jules is asking. Any WIP pics would be great as well.

I took a bit of time today to get into this and must say your Uglies are some of the most beautiful constructions I have seen. That B-Wing Xwing Interceptor combination blew my mind.

I love that AT-LST vehicle too. Your weapons array on that is awesome.

I can't wait to get into this more. That xwing viper rocks too.

Thanks so much for sharing these with us.

Sorry guys, I almost never do WIP pics because I do the actual builds so fast (painting takes FOR-EVER though :( ).  I can probably do some additional pics from different angles sometime over the next few days though as a consolation.
