I see, well I do it all digitally so am sure the wrong guy to talk about weathering the real thing, just know the theory. but I remember some tutorials somewhere here in the threads...

cool, well i might hunt around and have a look for them, i imagine wraithe will have something up in his post about it, because i was going to do it but stopped because i didnt want to wreck my figures with bad weathering, but if i learn how to do it well ill go back and fix them up. =D

i cant believe i finally caved and did a squad Art, its all these squads and troopers they got to me, and i even started working on a Commando Today, hes coming along great actually for a first time.

haha so you are infected by troopers, too LOL
well, they are a big part of the SW Saga and doing them broadens up the skills and possibilites, adding them to Sith or Jedi masters or else... I them a lot, doing military gears and scenerys, but I also enjoy characters like your Toorn, figures with some fantasy touch and swords and stuff and of course hot chicks like Aayla

And nah ill have a week where I use up some troopers ive bought over my collecting time but ill head back to my other styles soon, its definately got me customizing alot at the moment.

Im hanging for this toorn art to get going gunna be awesome

I haven't spent much time at all focusing on troopers, but the design scheme and colors is getting me inspired to take some of the 100+ clones/stormies out of their box and actually put them to good use.  Nice job on all, especially the Jedi commander and, of course, the awesome chest design on Cutter!

Thanks merc, and I was the same I had these four guys sitting in a draw collecting dust and saw what wraithe had done with his and I got inspired to put mine to good use. I say try it was some of the funnest customs ive done in a long time

I too like the emblem on cutter and think that you did well on your first clones.

I understand why you are nervous about the weathering thing as it seems almost inexcusable sometimes to detract from a good set of factory markings on a figure but as it adds to the realistic look of a figure it becomes great fun.

The most basic forms of weathering come as techniques known as a wash and drybrushing.

Well im not to familar  with the wash technique I do use alot of dry brushing (i used it on almost all of these guys weapons and I use it a fair bit in general, so tomorrow I might have a go at some weathering. What colours are good to use, browns snd greens maybe... & maybe some grey?

Those ROOOOOOOOOOOOCCCCKK!!!  Hey I just got an idea too.  What about a Sith Predator.  Can you imagine a Predator with all of those red and black tattoos all over him??  That would be sick!  Nice work man.  I love the guy with the CC head!

Yeh with darth predator I tried to keep that predator jungle look going but your right a actual predator 3 3/4 preator sith would look unreal, do they make them in that size

I am not sure.  I have seen some 33/4 predators online but cannot tell if they were customs or not.  I would have to say probably not.  But you can make your own!!  Clonesniper78 did it with a POC firefly head and a kit fisto head glued together.  He has a vid of it on youtube.  He is AZmarinesniper on youtube.  I made one after his formula.  I thought you could use that barechested Darth Maul body and that head combo and boom add some accessories and you have it!
