Regarding PM's
« on: December 16, 2010, 03:13:55 PM »
I wasn't sure where to post this so I think this might be the best place...

Anyways I was trying to reply to a PM, and the problem is every time I go to send it, I get an error that states "the numbers  do not match with the numbers in the box" or something along those lines.  Anyway there is no such "box" anywhere in the menu to type these numbers in.  Any help on the issue would be nice.  Thank you in advance.

Wow, that is interesting.  I haven't ever seen that error message, but I'll look into it.  I'm going to send you a PM now and see if you can reply to that.

Isn't that the message you get if you go to send a pm and have less than 10 or so postings under your belt, Pat?

That may be, though I've never seen that particular message.  However, that is a very real possibility.

Tried to send  a reply here is the error message:    The following error or errors occurred while posting this message:
The letters you typed don't match the letters that were shown in the picture.

It may be a post count issue. in which case, I guess all I can do is wait and see.

I am almost sure that we have seen that before and that it was a post count thing, TK.
Once again, welcome aboard!

Clint's probably right, and I believe the magic number is 10 posts.  Sorry for the inconvenience.  After you've reached 10 posts, let me know if you still have the same problem

Just a quick update it was a post count issue.  The PM works fine for me now, nothing further to see here.

Glad to hear it, but it does tell that perhaps when we approve a new member and send the welcome email that probably ought to be a part of it so folks don't think there is something wrong.
