Well here we go again! It has been an interesting time as usual. I still don't seem to have enough time to do what I want to do, but thats life. My little gal has discovered how fun her wading pool is and I see to spend my day coming up with excuses to try and get her to wait till evening when the sun is not so hot.

I sold my old truck on ebay and now I am eagerly awaiting the release of the 2009 Tacomas so I can try and get a better deal on a 2008 new one. Man those things ain't cheap. Ofcourse I want the one with the offroad package and that is making the price go up a bit. The color I like it hard to find too. We are also thinking about trying to sell our Liberty and use that money to buy a small four door sedan so we don't have to spend all of our paychecks on gas. Daggone it is getting expensive.

I am so close to being done with my dio case. I just need a couple trim boards and some quarter round and I am ready to show it off. I have all my ships in it, but don't know what I am gonna do when the Clone Wars ships hit.

My wife is still having issues with her stomach or something in that area. We have been to the doc numerous times and just got back from the emergency room yet again last evening. She goes for yet another test on Wednesday. This will once and for all rule out her gall bladder. If its not that then we move onto more specialists.

Time for an update:

1. Laura's gall bladder test came back negative and they gave her some antispasmodic stuff and it seems to be working so far. So thats the best news!

2. I got a lot of home projects done and replaced my hotwater tank, my heating duct, installed new drain line, reorganized my basement, planted a garden, starting cabinet work on the office area of the den, and am starting to clear off some land for my garage! Progress all the way around.

3. I downloaded xp service pack 2 so now my webcam is ready to go, watch for my mugg on windows messenger!

4. My little girl has taken over my loose ship collection and they are now "her" ships. She is still too young to play with em unsupervized, but she sure does like that potf 2 FX Xwing I have.

5.  It is only about a month away till I can start whining again about all the stuff hiting! :'(

Time for a quick update;

1. Went camping and that was fun. Gal caught her first fish and loved the whole experience.

2. Busy as all get out trying to get ready to go to the beach, learning web stuff, and getting home chores done.

3. Went to a funeral for a close cousin yesterday and have another one to go to today for my wife's great uncle. Her grandfather is now the last of the line.

4. Wife's abdominal pain hit again on Monday. Got her some heavy duty pain pills till we can get more tests and test results back. She is doing a lot better than Monday. Told her we might want to stay home from the beach this year and if looks could kill I would be dead so I guess we are still going.

5. Need to get my surf fishing stuff ready and yard work done. I just don't have enough time, but I will be out of town starting Saturday and all next week guys. Hold down the fort.

She has three different docs working on it and has had all kinds of tests so far and still nothing.  Hopefully between the three of them they can figure it out. She seems to be really doing great today though.

Well guys I need some advice and quick like as I am a day or two away from bringing home my new Tacoma.

Is 1000 dollars worth getting the color you want? I like the speedway blue and have a price 1000 dollars over the price I have on a indigo ink (navy blue) one.  My gut says save the money, but my heart is saying the speedway blue sure looks nice. What do you think guys?

Shawn, save the money!  Use it for Sw stuff.  I never get hung up on color, to me a car is just something to get me from place to place.

Chad, I am leaning that way now.  Who cares what color your AT-AT is when it is gonna kick some major booty whatever color it is, well as long as its not pink or purple.

Shawn, that is my favorite color also. My last two cars were that color but I went for my current car with the money saving option. That's why it's not blue.

Well I have been as busy as ever even though I am on summer break. I am mainly trying to nail down the best price on a new Toyota Tacoma. I am almost there, but found a better price at a dealer a few hours away from me so trying to do the haggling thing and get all the numbers straight as well as doing the whole thing over the phone and internet is a chore. The price they are giving me is 2000 thousand better than my closest dealer so I am trying to deal wih it. I decided to go with the navy one to save some money. Turns out the other one in the color I did want from my local dealer wasn't the double cab model like I specified.  I let the salesman know what I thought about that type of dealing anyhow.  Ofcourse he got loud and said there was no way the other dealer could offer it to me at the price I quoted and I was quick enough for once to reply,"wouldn't I be studpid not to try to get that deal?" He just started sputtering and said they would trick me and make me sit in the dealership for hours and I replied,"why would I sit in a dealership for hours?" I would have thought a salesman who genuinely couldnt beat another's offer would just apologize and say they can't beat that price instead of getting ignorant and loud. I will never buy another vehicle from that dude and will make sure no one in my family does. Heck my mom and my father in law both bought vehicles from himi in the last couple of years.  When I get my truck I am gonna drop by and show him my bill of sale and then inform him because of his behavior I will make sure my family members stay away from him. Well I might not, but if I was a vindictive sob I would. I would!

My little girl has a chest cold and is snotting it up, but seems ok otherwise. My wife is still taking test on her tummy and they still can't find out what it is and she has done several stomach type tests. Good thing is it seems like it is doing ok on its own as long as she stay away from barbacue and marinara type foods so her being pain free is great. She has been doing the secretarial work with the truck deal.

As for Star Wars, I just had another hairbrained scheme for some new shelving that will be open and not cabinet style so I can get my hands on some of it and I plan to do it below my deer mounts so I will have about 10 feet of length to play with.  If it goes as planned I should be able to have three shelves with a large one of the bottom and two smaller on top for figures. I should have been making it so I would be ready when the new figs and ships hit. I am just trying to nail down dimensions. Speaking of which, does anyone know the box dimensions for the BMF? A walker box is about 17inches wide  by 22 inches inches in length and I know the BMF is probably gonna come in a larger box. I am gonna need that to figure out the actual dimensions of the bookshelf.

My little gal went to a small local rural zoo day before yesterday and I will have to share a few pics when I can. She loved it.

I still havent actually gone freshwater fishing yet, and man am I due. I have a plan on that too though.

Well hope to see how some of the rest of you are doing. Please let me know how you are keeping. I really like to see what everyone is up to.

Well I am happy to report that my truck deal is now done. They gave me a better price on the navy blue on than previously reported. I got it late yesterday and have been showing it off to my inlaws this morning as well as helping my father in law with a plumbing issue. My final price on a 31,000 dollar truck was just only 24,8000.  Toyota just happened to go 750 more on rebate for the 2008 Tacomas than they were doing last week.  I counted the savings from the one dealership that was close to the one that was two hours away at over 4,000 smackers. Needless to say I am well pleased I drove the two hours to the farther dealership.

I will put pics up hopefully later today. Now I am getting ready to put some accesories on it. I saved for those so I could do them when I got the truck. Needless to say, by the time I get this week done, I will have spent a good bit of money, but will definitely have something nice to show for it.

I'm glad that things turned out good with the truck, buddy! What kind of accessories did you get? I'm ordering a BRA and a K&N high-flow air filter for the Magnum, tomorrow.
