I love the paint apps, Devin.  You are so good at blending them in well and weathering so greatly.  I can't wait to see the finished product, or at least more WIP shots!

A revisit of the Tex Mex mando, eh. I have no doubt that it will be netter than ever, Devin.

this is a great redesign of one of your best Mando figures
the figure looks really good and the weathering is just right
what material did you use for the helmet-antenna?

great job

ok here is the finished product:

to answer some questions first though, the new antenae are made from two strait pins with the ends broken off.  I had a range finder at the top of them but it just didn't work with the accessories I added to the figure.

enjoy:

well... what do you guys think?  btw I realize the yellow showing through on the shoulders is a bit distracting.  I can't help the paint rub there.  I was thinking about incorporating a few more yellow stripes in the armor somewhere else but couldn't realy decide how I'd do that...  any suggestions or should I leave it be?

Awesome custom Mando. He looks like an old west outlaw. Love the custom rifle too.

I'm a fan of the old spaghetti westerns, i'm liking the outlaw look you have going on here.

Oh Spud, that is awesome! This is a great modern western look. The combination of parts for the helmet, scarf and hat really blow me away! Great idea cutting chips out of the hat brim.  The paint looks good but I would dremel and sand the yellow hard plastic at the shoulder joint then paint to match. I absolutly love this figure and am asking permision to try something like this guy for my collection.  That being said the only thig I am not estatic with is the transition from the upper to lower legs, the lowers are a bit too skiney. Last is the untouched ammo bag  that is all black. Hook that bag up with some paint and weather it and this guy will be off the charts of awesomeness!

good suggestions LS.  I plan on sanding down the shoulder joints a bit and trying to get rid of the rubbing issue there.... it's just that I hate sanding.  I usually do it by hand as I have a tendancy to slip with the dremel's sanding drum.

the bag was a last minute addition that I threw on after I was done painting... your right it would look better with some weathering and different colors.

I chipped the hat-brim and changed the silver to gold to try and make it look less like bane's hat, glad the effect worked.

you know I hadn't noticed the skinyness of the legs until you mentioned it.  It realy isn't that noticable in hand, the images realy make it apparent though.

btw, as always, I post my customs in hopes that it inspires ideas in other customizers... so by all means make your own version!  I'd love to see it!
