Now that is what I call a Diorama. I can see where you are coming from here, you want to make the biggest and baddest Death Star Playset on the planet. I absolutely love it, the scale is just eye popping. Nice racks by the way (that's Tie Fighter Racks for the dirty minded amongst you).

Unlike mine, which is basically an extension of the Niub Niub school of dioramas, you are doing your own interpretation as far as design and maerials go, and for that you deserve every credit.

While I was scrolling down I was thinking that it could do with some wall detailing, and as I get to the last post, sure enough you are doing just that.

I think that you are producing one of the most original and ambitious projects I've seen so far this year, and as far as Death Star's go, there really isn't anything that comes close. I am really looking forward to seeing it evolve as this could be one of the best Dio's/Playsets on the net.

Very best wishes,
Hangarbay94....

Thanks buddies !

Hangarbay => this diorama isn't the biggest, because I collapse the first one who was longer and larger for moving into my office.  ;D
This afternoon, i'll try to wood-work for level above the main blastdoor.
Next step is illuminate all of this with bulb light, neon and leds.

Next : Emperor's arrival level needs some work (wall details, lightning, Ties racks, repaint of the floor for the main)
Next : Doing lateral room next to the main dio : detention block, conference room, maybe garbage room, and sure Luke' escape above the pitt  ;D
Next : Doing Hoth Battle above the Faclon bay level
Next : produce a new Jabba's palace, enhanced of course, need to put my new rancor on it ^^
Next : My interpretation of Endor's landing Platform (be careful, many souls can't stand vision of dead ewoks, crushed by At-St)
Next : Executor Bridge
Next : he, I don't know yet, but it's a question of time ^^

Wow, that's  some schedule. I can just see you amongst all of your creations, just like that iconic image of Lucas sitting amongts all of his Str Wars models. It certainly gives plenty to look forward to.

Awesome !! Just simply Awesome !!!

I haven't made anything on that scale before.

I've done floor mounted before but I've been in Shelf mode going on 6 years now. Even though some of my wall mounted projects have got'n a little out of hand !!

My son has showed me from his video game the many ways the empire hangs there smaller ships.

Incorporating some ideas from those in the future I hope to do.

Your a Great Inspiration Franck .

Keep up the Good Work !!!

About the windows above Vader's Blastdoor, they were not on previous version, but on a old, old, old version of my first attempt.
I just take a piece of wood, draw lines on it, drill and cut ^^.
Stucks of plexi are going to take place on the window's holes.

I just finished to draw other rooms plan (conference room, detention blocks, etc).

Those rooms will be in a different place that last time, you will see ^^
