Man, your guys' comments make me so proud, I have been filling orders so haven't gotten any further but can't wait to take this figure closer to completion.

holy . SHIT !! that is freak'in awesome

You took the words right out of my mouth!!!

Great job Clint!!!

A HOMERUN!!!

Keep up the great work!!

Rich
thank you very much, Rich. I hold your opinion very high indeed.

I stopped by earlier and saw the amazing camo apps on this guy, but now the whole fig looks even more amazing, especially with that soft goods kama.  I'm not usually a huge fan of soft goods, but this one looks killer! EL
thank you sir! You will like this kama when I am done, This technique has worked well before and the paper mache isn't as soft as you would think. It is almost a cross in between flexible and ridged.

Well done.
Thank you Mungo! I got a little ways to go yet with this one.

     Looking good clint !
Blowtorchscorch, thank you sir and, Let me personally welcome you to the Shipyards!! Lots of fun to be had here with alot of great members.

Holy God clint, thats so awesome!!! :o :o :o
Thank you Lux! This one is for the CW lovers

Thanks SH! I knew that you would like this one

MAN THIS IS EPIC, absolutely loving this custom, especially the paint scheme very nice.

Thank you Rusty's! I can see that you are making yourself at home here. Love your stuff!

...... SPEACHLESS
Thank you Beige4 Man, I am having a good time with this one.

Thanks again for your comments.

Well I ended up painting the inside of the kama testors flat black and the outside flat dark grey. I drybrushed both sides with a lighter testors dark gull grey color and then glued it to the figure at various points where it met the clone's belt.

Next, I chose some narrow styrene strips that I had picked up at a hobby shop some time ago and started gluing it to the kama as trim, working my way slowly along the curve of the edges to be trimmed. This trim will be painted the light ghost grey color that was the body's base color.

Putting the trim on was tedious enough that I took a break from it and used the dremel to deepen and widen the recess at the back of the now pegless resin snowtrooper backpack so that it would fit closer to the body but not interfere with the resin arc pauldron.

I believe i have decided not to do the criss crossing belts like Jay has done on his arc figures but will put some resin clone trooper pistol holsters on him that still have the upper part that would attach to his belt just like on a stock Thire figure.

Freakin' amazing job on that kama!  Got a little bit of a WWII-inspired German infantry look to him.  Nice work!

Light side, dark side...meh.  Just give me a lightsaber and a blaster and I'll take care of it!
