I would ALWAYS choose custom made furniture over store bought any day, hands down.  It's so worth it!

Add me to that custom furniture list. I have been forced to make my own due to the fact that there aren't any places around me that I know of. It woud be awesome to just make some measurements of my room space, my collection dimensions, and then just tell them exactly what I wanted. I know I would copy and past Serg's pics if I were able to find such a place. The joys of living in the woods I guess.

Due to some problems that occured, I might have to move there only in 2009, but I'm glad the cabinets arrived. Some of the collectibles will be displayed there though, even if I'm not going to live in the new house for now.

As for the curio dimensions here they are:

Width: 96 cm - 37.7"
Height: 37 cm - 14.5"
Depth: 30 cm -  11.8"


The width is calculated for 1 curio (with double glass doors) to see all the curios together you have to consider that there are 3 curios joined together on the right side of the room and 2 on the left. Height is calculated only for 1 shelf, to see total add all 5 shelves.


And a comparison with Ikea's Detolf:

Width: 43 cm - 16 3/4"
Depth: 37 cm - 14 3/8"
Height: 163 cm - 64 1/8"

sorry to hear your house plans took a change Serg. I do like those cabinets though. That detolt has nothing on em if you ask me.

Two more pics of the room with the 2 new cabinets. I have a few items displayed in there and will remain like this until I move and then all my collection will be added. The large cabinet will be for the Star Wars collection and the smaller one for anime toys and Terminator, Predator, Batman etc.

Thanks Tamer! :) My collection room right now. Not much stuff added on the shelves, but wanted to show you a view from the entrance door, just ignore the carpet, it is from the guy who painted the windows. The room looks small but in fact it is 4 meters by 4 meters. I'll have to include there the Premium Format Vader and his custom made display case. I also intend to ad some spot lights when moving. For now this will be work in progress.
