Hot Toys 1:6 Darth Vader, modified and upgraded by the talented JazzInc. Here are the mods he did on my Vader:

- repaint and weathering on the helmet
- slight buffing of the satin, just like the movie
- removed the dome
- put metal tape on the inside of the eyes to get a bit more red
- removed ribs on dome and sanded down the top of the 'head'
- reglued the dome slightly asymmetrically
- weathered and repainted the armor
- wired up the belt boxes and voice system to 4,5 dc adapter
- redressed him with cod as high as it could go
- chest box attached with double sided tape right underneath the armor
- weathered the belt, boxes and buckle
- removed the wire from the robe and added a heavier one along the bottom of the robe
- weathered and polished the shin armor
- painted all the hands flat black
- used double sided tape to really attach the glove to the hand seamlessly
- weathered and repainted the chest box
- did a lot of futzing and water treatment to get it to fall naturally
- removed all excess fabric from the inside seams of the tunic and vest
- cut some of the rubber from the side of the chest so the arms can go straight down
- repainted the upper eyelids black

No cathode saber for me, I display Vader in a static museum pose.

The out of the box HT Vader puts the Sideshow one to shame. The original HT Vader is tons better already, but compared to the customized HT Vader, the Sideshow Vader looks like a wonky oversized doll. I have the complete Exclusive Sideshow Vader, but will go for sale next week.

"Star Wars Art: Ralph McQuarrie" art books arrived. These books are huge and superb. Splendid design, you can find out everything about the talented artist that was Ralph McQuarrie. High quality binding, beautiful pictures of his gorgeous drawings, and excellent information. A must have book for any Star Wars fan, especially if bought at the original Amazon UK lower price.

These art books are really BIG, some of the biggest books I own, much bigger than Star Wars Chronicles and regular Star Wars Blueprints. And HEAVY: weighting 10 kilograms. And there is a ton of cool pictures there, all the beautiful sketches and drawings McQuarrie did for Star Wars when imagining the spectacular visuals for this universe. It's the ultimate Ralph McQuarrie Star Wars book.

Other news: many years ago James Earl Jones was kind enough to sign a MR wide plaque already signed by Dave Prowse. But over time his signature started to fade away, Prowse one was still like the first day. On 2nd September this year I sent the plaque with the fading signature to Mr. Jones kindly asking him to resign it. He indeed signed it and here it is :)

A vintage and very cool book arrived - Star Wars Technical Journal. I used to have 2 of the three magazines that comprised this book: Tatooine and The Rebel Forces, but I missed The Imperial Forces magazine. Now I have them all in one single hardcover book :)
