212th Attack battalion
« on: January 03, 2010, 09:10:13 AM »
Jedi General: Obi-Wan Kenobi
Commander: Clone Commander Cody , CC-2224
First battle as a legion: probably the Battle for Cristophsys
Last battle as a legion: Battle of UTAPAU

Phase 1 organization:

1.  troopers

a) having the battalions stripes

b) white troopers

2. commander

From the Movies
Clone Commander Cody, also known as unit 2224, was a loyal clone trooper serving the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. Cody was often under the command of General Obi-Wan Kenobi, and served with him and Anakin Skywalker during a nearly disastrous campaign on Cato Neimoidia.

Cody developed a close and easygoing camaraderie with Kenobi, easily exchanging dry jokes with his Jedi General. This continued through to their mission to Utapau, to route out the entrenched Separatists forces commanded by General Grievous.

Cody was ultimately subservient to the orders of the Republic, and when Order 66 was enacted -- branding Kenobi an enemy of the state -- Cody willingly carried out the command to open fire on his former friend.

From the Expanded Universe
Unit 2224 was part of an advanced training program of clone commanders led by the ARC trooper identified as Alpha. Unlike standard Kaminoan educational protocols, this training regimen did not de-emphasize individuality and outside-the-manual thinking. As the Kaminoans adapted to this unorthodox methodology, they allowed their clones to self-apply names, dangling such signs of individuality as a prize for merit.

Although self-naming had occurred on the field since the earliest days of the Clone Wars, the Kaminoans and the Republic did not officially recognize the practice; the cloners, especially, considered the behavior deviant. But thanks to the efforts of individualistic clones like Alpha, units such as 2224 got to retain their proper names.

Cody's tour of duty included campaigns on Rendili, Koorivar, Cato Neimoidia, Maramere and Boz Pity. He led the 212th Attack Battalion, and was comfortable with leading large units and commanding small attack teams both. Often, Cody would employ a rocket pack, leading his elite units through individual aerial maneuvers.

Behind the Scenes
Like all the clone commanders, Cody was voiced by Temuera Morrison. As one of the clone officers seen without a helmet, Morrison also physically played the role, though only footage of his head was used to portray Cody. On set, Morrison wore a blue bodysuit and held an old stormtrooper helmet in his hands to approximate the digital clone helmet he would be wearing.

3. other troopers

Waxer
Boil
Crys
Sergeant Slick (former)
Chopper
Switch

Phase 2

troopers

a) normal Utapau clone troopers

b) airborne troopers

Phrases said by members of the 212th attack battalion:
"I guess we're the best..." Boil
"If you loved your brothers, you wouldn't put them in danger." Commander Cody
