Corporate Alliance Tank Droid review
« on: December 12, 2009, 11:37:10 PM »
I've been looking forward to this vehicle for a while, and am quite impressed with it. It was definetley larger than I had first thought it would be.
There is some assembly required. The eyes, guns, and side tread pieces need to be attached.

This vehicle has two forward firing missiles, and two opening hatches for a driver and gunner.  The two side tread pieces have wheels on the bottom, and the large center tread is made of rubber and can move. The two inside parts have little detail, but the outside has some nice detail and a good looking paint job. The tops of the side tread pieces do not have foot pegs on them, which was disappoiting since we saw the droids standing there in the movie.

The two hatches can only be opened from one side.

very nice review and good photgraphy, thanks for that.  I have a feeling this'll be on the FP especially because we don't see many vehicle reviews.

one question I have on this:  inside the pilot station, can it fit a figure bigger than a battle droid in the seat?

Right you are, NFC. It's on the front page now. Thanks again, Captain, for the great review.

I must say I was pleased to see this on the front page today. It was very good Captain Kirk.  This will go into the review archives along with a few others I have to get into the fp this week.

Yes, most figures can fit in it. It's pretty big. I tried it with a Legacy clone trooper and a CW clone trooper and they both fit fine. One thing I don't like is that the hatch to the driver's seat doesn't stay up by itself, which is why I have the vehicle on its side in the picture.

sucks about the hatch but coming from Hasbro we can't expect perfection, especially with quality control stuff!

good to know the cockpit is roomy enough to fit some bigger figures than just the rinky dink battle droids... I may have to take a second look at buying one now.
