Since I gave up on collecting Prequels I managed to focus more clearly on Original Trilogy Imperials. I don't have a fix budget, but I save a lot. Even if finding items that I might like I now think twice if really need them. I always have to consider international shipping, 19% VAT tax and customs charges, because of the simple fact that there are almost no SW toys in Romania or at least in the region where I live... An US collector or even a German collector could go to the closest TRU or comic shop and get all the figures he needs. That makes it very difficult to be a non-US collector, and more so a Romanian collector. Focusing only on OT Imperials (with very few minor exceptions) and on very few non-SW items I manage to get the items I'm really interested in.

For me it ranges. I'll go months without buying anything. Normally, I'll spend about 10-20 bucks every other month.

Why go through life base fig, when you can customize?

Well, I'd say I can spare a $100 a month for SW goodies, but I hardly spend that amount (thank the Maker!). Sometimes I order $150 worth of figures and troop builders, but that's every once in a while.

well, I'm pretty much at zero now, not sure why, but besides using gift cards(which I used to great effect lol) I haven't spent any real money on figures in about 7 weeks, :D

Gift cards to me get annoying cuz you can only use them at one place but if that place has figures goodbye card. I got 90 dollars worth of gift cads and spent them on figures in 2 days the only expensive one i got anyway was the dewback and sandtrooper for 30 bucks it was outragous its basically just a deluxe pack and all I really wanted was the dewback but gift cards are good sometimes depends on how much you get.

I blew the HECK out of any sort of budget I had this month on Gentle Giant alone...almost $400!  $300 for all 4 Republic Commando busts, $70 on Yakface, and $20 on 2 more Clone Lieutenant classic busts to customize.  Whoops!  Wife's NOT gonna be happy when she sees THAT bill!

Everyone's budget is tight these days, which is why I've cut my collecting focus way down.  Unfortunately, sometime pre-orders get the best of you when you have no idea when they're going to actually be shipped!

I don't have a budget. I'm still in school and don't have a job, but sometimes my parents will buy me a few items when we go to the store. Usually once or twice a month. I also buy a lot of things with Christmas and Birthday money. Soon I'll be able to actually buy stuff with my own paycheck though, which will be nice.

its not just the economy, for me, it was seeing, wow the money I spent on toys in sept/oct could have made an extra house payment, lol.
