Ron, I love seeing the WIP's - I learn so much from them. Thanks! I'm really intrigued with this character.

Hi All,

More progress has been done on the Mech Suit dio, I have added the canopy using Woodland Scenics fine leaf Olive Green Foliage and the vines are from JOEFIX Studios.

The attack drone above the canopy was made using the Grimoire's helmet and I added two muzzle's from Bandai's DLT-19's a small 28mm shield underneath and the radar section from Bandai's R2-D2 kit.

The mech suit has been painted and glued to the base, I was going to do a camo pattern on the suit but once the khaki was painted on I really liked the plain subtle colour of it. I gave the suit a few washes of matt black and then used a model knife to add all the scratches and chips, the decals are from a an old Ma.k kit so I decided to use what was left on the suit.

The swamp section has had tape put around it so that I can use Woodland Scenics Realistic Water in layers to get a nice effect on it. I still have about 6-7 layers to go but doing it in thin layer helps it dry faster.

Thanks heaps Shawn and yeah the helmet was perfect for a drone it just needed a few extra pieces added to it.

Hi All,

While I'm waiting for other projects paint to dry I decided to paint up my 28mm Star Trek Miniatures I got from Modiphius Entertainment.

The figures are as mentioned 32mm tall and are of a medium type resin with the details being really good at this scale. I picked up the TOS Trek figures but you can also get Next Generation Enterprise crew and Next Generation Klingons and Romulans,  I first gave the figures a wash is warm soapy water and once dry I painted them using Vallejo paints.

Here is a link to Modiphius Star Trek page https://www.modiphius.net/collections/star-trek-adventures

Hi All,

The Mech suit dio is done, I had to wait for the water to dry before I could paint the edges
