Hi All,

Tamer, FialaFernbrugg & maxx-replicas - Guys as always I really appreciate the comments thank you. At this stage all my shelfs are empty as we had a cyclone warning a couple of weeks ago and I always pack my customs and dios away in plastic boxes. I am still on crutches after my knee and ankle surgery so once I'm off them I promise I will unpack all the customs and take some pics for you.

I went looking at some 1/20th and 1/35 stuff today.  I like the looks of several of the WAVE and other Ma.K. kits for my semi-SW universe...  Aaaaah, one day when I have the money to buy them and store them for the days when I have the time to build and space to display them all...!

Marvelous work - AS USUAL!!   8)

Cheers Doc and the Ma.k would actually look great in a semi SW verse, but you are correct money wise the price that people are asking is just stupid. If you are looking for some try www.hlj.com as they get some in and the prices are actually pretty good.

I think that was the site I ended up on - it was a .jp site, at any rate.  I have to confess, once I get the money, the Platoon Briefing set with the giant lift-APC WILL be mine!

Somewhere, I should have an armored suit similar to some of those powered-armor units, but I think it was 1/24th.  It got packed up for a move, likely when I got married 20 years ago, and has since disappeared.  Maybe I'll relocate it tucked safely away one of these days.

You're making me hurt for my modeling days, sir!!!   :D

Hey Doc,

I missed the lift APC I'll have to have a look at it. I'm the same mate I miss the old military models days but there is a store here in OZ that sell models etc and are very cheap so I might start dabbling into it again.

Here's the link I was looking at:
http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10051950

How cool is that thing!!

Before I get back into my military modeling, I have to figure out display space!!  Then work-space, to include a paint-booth...

Oh I remember that kit now and you are right it is cool, thanks for showing me the link and I think that kit is 1/32 scale so it would look great with the Ma.k 1/35 scale suits.

I'm lucky in the space aspect as I have a whole room for my work area and shelves and a area in the garage for spray painting.

Hi All,

Here are two pics of the 6" Indy dio I'm working on at the moment.

Pic 1-2 - The base is made out of foam core and once I got the look I wanted I glued it all together and once dry I used a thin led pencil to scribe all the heirogypths and stone and then used a thicker led pencil and went over the original trace.

The indy figure is from Figma and the joints have already been superglued and then will have the joints sealed using putty he will be holding a torch in his right hand when it is complete.

Cheers Shawn and no need to apologize mate. I just completed the dio and have added torches to the ground with small lights which is a first for me, I will be taking pics tomorrow with the first Figma indy I did as I completely stuffed up the figure for this dio.

Note to self never leave a figure near the stove after you have boiled and popped the  joints and then decide to cook yourself some lunch oh yeah melty indy is all I have to say.

Hemble,

Do you repaint the entire figure in your customs? I know you seal and putty the joints. If you do, do you prime the entire piece, or just apply the paint straight? Also, what paints do you prefer to use on figs?

Thanks!

LOL yeah we most likely are and yeah it was the Figma Indy. His head and right arm were totally to far gone to help, on a god note thou I have extra parts and hands for when I get a few more of them.

Hey BigKev, I do repaint the entire figure and I don't prime the figure/s I just give them a good was with warm soapy water and then rinse off and let them dry. I use Vallejo and Games Workshop paints as I personally find these to be the best especially for adhering and no brush strokes and if you need anything else please don't hesitate to ask.
