Ron, I'm loving this latest piece of work. I've often seen wood glue form into odd shapes but have never twigged how good it would be when used for dioramas. Clever, very clever.

Guys always appreciate the replies and feedback thank you. Again I'm glad you are all enjoying the step by step process as well as I'm really enjoying showing them to you.
Jules it is amazing how good woodglue can be for dio's and I like to experiment to see what I can use things for and to what extent. I have been experimenting with making waterfalls using woodglue and that has shown some promise and I will post pics of that little project in the near future.

Hi All
Painting has began.
Pic - 21, 22, 23 & 24 The whole dio has been given a wash of JO SONJA'S Burnt Sienna and left to dry for a good 2 hours.

Pic - 29, 30, 31 & 32 - The stone was given a drybrush Vallejos German Cam Orange Ochre 824. The Ochre is great as it brings out the finer details of the stone detail that I pushed into the foam using a sandstone rock.

Pic - 33, 34, 35 & 36 - The stone has now been given a drybrush of Vallejo's Pale Sand 837. This drybrush give the stone a lttle more depth and a little more detail.

Pic - 37, 38, 39 & 40 - I wanted to give the stone a bit of a reddish/brown tinge to it to break up the lighter colour so I used GW Vermin Brown. Instead of drybrushing I dapped very softly onto the stone in an un random pattern.
In pic 40 I did a close up of the main wall relief to show just how much detail can be done to foam by using a stone to inprint it's texture into it and also a nice paint job.
More WIP sonn.

Hi All
more started on the roots today.
Pic - 41, 42, 43 & 44 - I'll be giving the trunk and roots a grey/khaki look to them so here is the start of the painting. The trunk and roots were given a wash of Vallejo's Medium Grey 70987.

Tamer & Jedi1977 - Thanks guys and again thanks Shawn and more then happy to give tips of how I do things.
I have almost completed the trunk/roots and I have changed my mind on the colour (yeah I know I'm like an old woman LOL), I have gone for a more brown/earthy colour.
Pic - 45, 46, 47 - the next process was to give the trunk/roots a wash mix of Vallejo's Medium Grey 70987 and Pale Sand 837.
