Sounds good to me, but I would just love to spend an hour in your studio watching what you do. You make it look so effortless.

Cool, and were hoping to be moved into the new house buy end Dec early Jan and once I get the new room setup I'll be adding camera's so people can see the work live.

Hi All,

New project this time about I'm doing three small separate dio's that can be put together to make larger one. I have glued all Captain Andor's joints and filled the joints in with putty, K-S20 has just had his joints glued except for the chest and head. I still to get my hands on Jyn and I can do the same to her as I have done to Andor.

The bases are pieces of balsa wood cut to size and the back ground buildings are done from foam board and I just need to add a few greeblies and the paint everything.

Thanks heaps Shawn, I wash Hasbro would something like this as they would sell great as people like to have little stand and backdrops for their figures.

So is it a "compound diorama" or "interchangeable figure stand" or both? : ) I really like the idea. It will be cool to see the finished product.

Cheers mate and it will only be a changeable base but it could be done for interchangeable figures as well.

I'm okay to go with "interchangeable bases for figures" or I.B.F.s - alright, maybe I'm having too much fun joking around about names, I'll stop now. :-) I really like the concept a lot; it's a great idea.

Hi All,

Did a little more work on the Jedha bases and was finally able to get my hands on Erso. I made a few blaster holes by getting a model knife and cutting odd shapes into the foam board and then just pulling the cut sections out.

I also removed some of the cardboard and then using a pencil made some stone by pressing into the foam. The walls were covered in a 85/15 mix of spakfilla an paint and once the walls were done I used what was left over of the mix and added some sand and spread that over the base.
