Hi All,

Completed another kit last night and this time round it's the Bandai Scout Trooper.

Recipe

Trooper and Speeder - are from Bandai and are built straight from the box and have been painted and weathered using Vallejo and Game Workshop paints and pastel chalks.

Base - The base is the one that comes with the Scout Trooper and I used balsa wood for the edges and to raise it up a little.

The ground work was done by mixing spakfilla, brown paint, PVA glue, dirt, crushed up leaves and model railway grass and it was then mixed together, I used large fish tank plants for the large plants which have been given a wash using a medium green and the small log is from the garden. I used model railway grass for the under layer and then used small tufts of grass which are from Army painter.

Cheers buddy, I have never used an air brush it's always brushes except for larger things like the Partial Falcon 1/12 and some 3-3/4" vehicles and once I do Air brush or Spray can I use brushes to weather and add the details.

Your paint looks great! I thought I was one of the only few that uses the good 'ol brush. Airbrush seems too high maintenance for me.

Thanks mate and yeah I find Airbrushes are to high maintenance as well, the spray cans work great as long as you give them a good shake and stand back and give the model good even coats.

I love using brushes thou as I can control how and where I want the paint to go and I've been doing models and customs for over 35yrs using brushes it's just second nature.

Hey Darth Strife,

Ron has decided to share all his work here at ISY or at his Facebook Page here:

https://www.facebook.com/Hemblecreations-489059647939401/?fref=ts

I do agree him having a site is an awesome idea and hope to resurrect one here at isy one day. I too really enjoy his work.

I was gonna preview this for the new year, but Darth Strife got me to wanting to showcase this earlier.

Every Wednesday I am gonna showcase one of my favorite customizers on my top 12 list (I am gonna do one per month the first week of the month). This is my January Feature (I will run it again a little bit more in depth) and I will showcase more work I have liked over the years and create a separate forum section for it. Till then this is what hit our fp today. Make sure you go like his Facebook Page folks!
