Really amazing job on the droids Ron, especially given your health challenges. The weathering/wear-and-tear on R6 looks authentic. Hope your recovery continues to go well, and I look forward to seeing more work.

Hi All,

I decided to build another Sullust Trooper after the first one I did was for a commission. This time round I found a pic of a full body Trooper and decided to him here are some WIP and a pic of the actual trooper.

The Trooper is Bandai's Stormtrooper, the rifle and pauldron are from Bandai's Sandtrooper. The hose is from Hasbro's 6" BS speeder bike, I built the back back, respirator, hose connection and shin guards from plasti card.

Now all I have to do is paint and weather him.

That is awesome.  Do you repaint his whites?

I'm curious, because I have some troopers I'm going to be customizing, and would like to re-paint the white so it looks more like real glossy white, and not the hasbro cheap whites.  I like how the SideShow trooper whites look, probably the closest to real trooper white.

Cheers Mate and I do repaint my Troopers but I paint them so their armour is more dulled due to battle etc. The only Troopers I didn't repaint the armour was the Han Solo in Stormtrooper gear and the Space Trooper as Bandai did an amazing job on the gloss armour.

If you want the gloss armour look on the BS 6" Troopers try using a gloss spray and then paint the black areas.

Hi All,

Finished painting the version 2 Sullust Trooper and here are a few quick pics. I will get my usual outdoor pics done tomorrow, I painted and weathered him using Vallejo, GW paints and chalk pastels.

Hi All,

For those that haven't recieved the Bandai Sandtrooper yet, I was curious to see if the Sandtrooper's helmet was different to their Stormtrooper helmet and I have to give them TWO THUMBS UP it doesn't disappoint.

The brow section is a seperate piece and is a soft plastic which clips into the side of the helmet and is movable. I have taken three pics to show the different variations you could do.

Fantastic job on the Sullust trooper I especially like the backpack. I can't wait to get the Sandtrooper I love all those variations, you could army build without having the same figure twice. I'm just waiting for them to be available on Amazon Prime to take advantage of the free two-day shipping.
