Zuckuss BD-54
« on: December 03, 2009, 07:20:29 PM »
Found at a walmart for $7.49, this guy is one of the bounty hunters that was skipped when newer versions of the ESB Bounty Hunters came out in vintage style packaging a couple of years back.
This Zuckuss is quite superarty, and features great sculpting and color, from his various molded on pouches and belts, to his dirt stained lower soft goods cape, to his removable breathing device backpack with hoses that plug into receiving holes in the lower part of his face. His rifle is pretty much spot on and it seems to be made of stiffer plastic than some of the vary bendy weapons that we have been getting lately. I appreciate the attention to this missed bounty hunter and really like what they have done with this one. It's a thumbs up, folks.

My Zuckuss came with the right leg to build the HK-50 BAD. I say this because it has become apparent that when this figure is re-packed with a later wave, the BAD part might change. I have seen two different examples so far for different figures where this is the case.

Man, the soft goods is atrociously done here, it doesn't even slightly blend with the rest of the figure.  Everything else looks suprb thought.

Took long enough too, we've only had to wait 11 years

Zuckuss was a favorite of mine, even from when I was a kid.  I loved the Vintage version, and they haven't even done it justice until now.  I love this new one and want to get a couple more of them.  Nice review Clint!

he looks very nice, though to plastic like =) He could use a nice wash and some dry brushing.

Why go through life base fig, when you can customize?

Oh man, I've been waiting pretty much since I started collecting for this guy! I have the 5 other bounty hunters from Empire, and as soon as I actually find this guy in stores, my little collection will be COMPLETE, BWAHAHA!

I have this one coming to me from Ebay, just waiting for it to arrive.

The only thing I am really disappointed about is the soft goods, I would have preferred it if they had done the coat like the vintage one, but with the correct coloring.  Oh well it is decent I suppose and would love to get a couple of more of the heads.

The softgoods wouldn't seem so bad if they didn't flare out as bad as they do.

I picked one up the over day... I almost passed.

I want to see what I can do to make him more screen accurate and fix the soft goods...  One thing I might try is useing some pleather material instead of the cloth and make something else for him.

I have purchased the entire wave just waiting for some figures to come through, I have the Zuckuss in hand and have pacified his robes with just a couple of tucks and it looks a lot better.
