sources for scenic bits

Itar casts his products in resin, while Nalomi casts his in hydrostone.  They are both licensed resellers of products made from HirstArts molds, a source I highly recommend if you are comfortable with casting your own supplies. I have the Hirst molds and love them - but I don't have a reselling license for them.  For those interested, I suggest buying from Nal or Itar.  I've dealt with both as a customer and as a fellow caster.  Both are very friendly guys and love their hobby/business - very much like our own Clonehead here.

If you do buy from them, let them know DocOutlands sent you!  I don't get a kickback or commission or anything, but I like them to know I'm trying to send business their way like I promised.  ;)

So here's some bits I've printed off the net and use.  The pringles-can storage tank and cargo container are by tommygun (lots of wargame scenics there!), while the oatmeal-can apartments and the paper towel core office building are printed from textures I found on http://www.cgtextures.com and then just glued onto the containers.

The storage tank has a top designed for it, but I bought a set of resin parts from armorcast.com that includes an insustrial base, two vertical pipe runs, and a machinery topper for a pringles can.  I just needed the textures to make the sides look right.  So, the pringles can is not a finished work yet.

The buildings were done up to help in forced-perspective shots with skyline.
