Guys, I think I am done with the Z'cepter buid! Just waiting for AFE to see these pics and let me know what he thinks of the build. The vehicle comes apart in sections very easily with screws. It will make the vehicle very easy to paint if he decides to do so. The front guns are also removable via peg, I would have glued the back of the gun to the hull to keep it straight but I anticipate him removing them to paint. Then they can be properly secured and aligned. Here she is...

that is a thing of beauty.  truly one of the most thought out, and expertly assembled "uglies" I've ever seen.  From it's conception I've known this would be a great ship when finished.  That nose R2 unit came out great! I can't wait to see it painted up....


On a side note... I've been looking for a spare x-wing laser cannon for a perma-WIP i've had on my shelf for months... any chance you have an extra one?  One of the short ones like you used here?

Well my comments were on the Facebook update, but I'll say them again here. Jaw droppingly amazing! I am going to really really try to do my best paint work on this ship. Spud, thanks man! It really makes me proud that you feel that way! I did put everything I had into her. That R2 was just about as tough as the wings, the wings were the hardest part. I secured the astromech from the bottom with a screw the cut up a chain gun and glued that to the lower fuselage. I searched forever for some parts that looked close to the reference pic for the top parts. I ended up sacrificing an IG-88 torso, cutting it to bits and gluing it to the upper fuselage. This way the vehicle can still be taken apart if so desired. The X-wing cockpit can be removed from the "Eyeball" by removing 1 nut and bolt. The wings are removable as they are held on with 1 peg and 1 magnet. Why you may ask, because if this was my vehicle I would find some Y-Wing engines, install a magnet and peg, then WALA, you have a new Ugly!

AFE, so glad you are happy with her! Another satisfied customer! Can't wait to see what you decide to do with her next. Need? Well I am hunting 2 ea loose Cammie and Fixer figures for customs in an upcoming diorama I am working on.

OK guys, I am at the thrift store. I see a Barbie Dream Boat and it is only $4. My mind starts churning...what could I make out of this?...







What do you think? I see some type of junker/scavenger/sail barge/party boat. So far it has been gutted of all the crap, removed the stickers but need to use alcohol and I flipped the bottom half of the boat upside down. A bit of dremeling was involved but I think I like the look of this thing...minus the pink!

Perhaps there's a tribe of Jawas living on a water planet, scavenging abandoned sea craft... perhaps reselling them to Mon Cals... either way I know you're going to cobble something stunning together with this!
