Barry, thanks so much and sorry I forgot to comment on my backdrop. I made it by opening the BMF. No I a not talking about your sister, I mean the Big Millinium Falcon. WHEN I REMOVED HAN AND CHEWIE, DAMN CAP LOCK!, I kept the cardboard piece that held them as it had the rebel insignia on it. That is all, simple huh? Remember, I never throw anything away!
R2-C5 is simply R2-D2 with the restraining bolt removed, blue details were painted over in black, then the lights were changed to green. He can be found in shots of the X-Wing models that were used for the first asault on the Death Star.
R2-R6 is one of my faves to date as well. He is a creation from my own mind and is not cannon. The base figure isR5-D4. Hope this helps and hope I answered everyones questions today. If not just hit me over the head...

Hello guys, a quick update before I head out of town this weekend. As you can see I have been on a mission with the astromechs and Rebel pilots. Today's update continues that same theme. First is Theron Nett, Red Ten. I am surprised we have not seen a figure for him since he has as many speaking parts in the film as any the main characters in the Death Star run scene. I think his droid is R2-X2 as do some others but it is hard to nail down. I am going with it though so here they are.
I used an old Wedge helmet as a base and will modifying it further with a working chin strap and a microphone. After seeing the pics I also want to paint the inside of the helmet so it isn't orange.
Next up is Elyhek Rue, Red Seven. He is a bit of an odd lookig fellow and I had this generic head from a vehicle I wanted so I sculpted some hair on him and called it close enough. He is a serious blockormore for any chick so give this guy a break if you can. I decided to design a helmet for him to cover that ugly mug and he will wear it most of the time as well.
Red Twelve is unknown and I have seen a guy with hair parted in the middle and a beard, wearing a flight suit, standing in the background of the briefing scene. So this is the begining of my version of him. I still want to repaint the hair and face at some point.
This is the begining of John D. Brannon's R4 droid. much more to do on him...

Jules, that was a great bit of video to go with your humor, and I LOVE it! L.E., your Rebel pilots and their droids are looking awesome, and I can't wait to see a giant group shot of them all!

Jules, that is the best thing I have seen all day! Thanks for the props buddy.
Thanks Pat, you looking for something like this?....
Remember my rebel base? I am getting everything set up on my shelf over the next few weeks. It looks different already, this photo was taken last week.

LS, I'm just about to make up my own Squadron for the X-Wing novel. Jay (Wraith9) came up with the name... Rancor Squadron. I will be taking a lot of inspiration from this post...

Daggone, I can see you reenacting quite a few Rebel Briefings. It would be cool to see all these pilots and their astromechs together.

I would just like to point out that no senior citizens were harmed in the making of this thread.
