I really really wish the Jedi we saw in Revenge of the Sith had really looked crazy different from the way we saw them in Attack of the Clones instead of the same exact boring old costumes, appearing as the 3 year long War didn't change or affect any of them at all.

The concept artists for Episode III had the right idea, they understood that constant warfare would have changed the looks and the behaviors of the Jedi drastically... why the hell didn't George go for some those ideas instead of going the same worn out path?  Lack of imagination in his old stale age I think, fear of new ideas... Dave Filoni has the vision for his cartoon that Lucas didn't have for the final prequel.   Sprywalker, your customs beautifully reflect what some of the battle hardened Jedi should have looked like.

It's good you're proud of them, you ought to be cuz they're truly great.

I want a Master Plo figure like that!

L.E., these concept figures are really well done. You've got quite the portfolio, homey.  Can't wait to see what you pull out of retirement next.

Thanks guys and Barry, tonight I have something new. I have been playing around with the head cast I got from Clint/ Clonehead. I wanted to use up some of the Engineer bodies, even though I don't really like them. I started trying different things to cover that crazy chest armor and decided on what you see below. I love this helmet mash up and it looks good with several different bodies. I tried a few different paint patterns and decided on this one to kind of mask the man bumps in the armor. It looks like it was designed for old ladies who don't wear bras.

Oh yeah, L.E., that's what I like to see. I love seeing my parts on other people's figures and really enjoy seeing their piant apps on em. This guy looks great and that space trooper chest piece is perfect for covering up those man bumps. Nice paint job on the figure and helmet!

L.E.,  the gun on his chest is pretty sweet, and that paint looks great. The helmet really goes so well with the rest of the body.
Who painted the head cast?
Love that 2nd pic. It really shows off this well made clone.

Thanks Clint and Barry I painted the helmet. I also took some pics of the soft goods materials I use. I have 2 brown pieces of fake leather and 3 vinyl products, white (not pictured here but used in next photos), tan and black. You can get these at fabric shops. I also have an old chammy but I didn't get it out for the pics.

The dark brown and small tan piece with the black tag do not have a thick backing and can be used as they come. The others have a foam or cotton backing so you have to cut the thickness in half in a corner.

Then you can carefully pull it apart making it much thinner.

You can also paint it. Here you see I painted the white vinyl grey and am holding a bigger white piece for comparison.

It is fairly easy to work with and has many uses. I would also like to get some Lego canvas for straps and things.

friggin' SWEET!   does this clone have a name?  I'd ask what unit he's attached to but really who cares, he looks like he's a whole squad of clones all by himself

I have that same brown leather type fabric =) I've been using it on my customs for years now since I can't seem to use up the 1 yard I bought :P

Love the stuff!

Why go through life base fig, when you can customize?

Sorry NFC I am not good at making up names for these guys. If anyone cares to give him a name or battalion that would be cool. Lastly there will be more, he is part of a team.

I would just call him "Nails" as he looks like he could chew some up and spit em out as well as nail some clankers.

I'm backing up Tamer on this one, it's a great suggestion for exactly those reasons.

and I'd suggest attaching Nails and his team to the 41st Elite
