Anime and manga
« on: November 27, 2009, 01:00:35 AM »
I'm into anime (Japanese cartoons) and manga (Japanese comic books), love everything Masamune Shirow like Ghost in the Shell, Appleseed etc., but also like Neon Genesis Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Kiddy Grade (don't be fooled by the title), Blue Gender, Yu-Yu Hakusho etc. There are some anime series that are really great with subtle and complex stories.

I collect anime figures and statues too, my collection:

Is there anyone else interesting in the Japanese anime and manga?

I've cought a few episodes of ghost in the shell on adult swim... realy liked it.... but never could get into it on a regular basis.

I love cowboy bebop though, great show!

You didn't mention full metal alchemist, classic example of good anime...

I never got into Full Metal Alchemist, I prefer the complex scripts and great action on Ghost in the Shell any day. But Cowboy Bebop was great too. I forgot to add that I really need to watch the new Evangelion movie...
