Lights

I'm looking to incorporate lighting into a current project and require guidance. I need small lights that can fit into roughly 2x2x1cm spaces, be battery powered and, ideally, controlled remotely. I've looked at light strings, small battery-powered LEDs (too large), fiber optics... just can't seem to find exactly what I need. I have no experience with this sort of thing and could really use the expertise of someone who is knowledgeable.

I would take a look at Clonehead's light work he has started up for his Race Track Dio. If that is along the lines of what you want I would send him a pm. He has done some amazing work with lights.

Definitely. His work on that racetrack is incredible! I sent a PM the other day but haven’t heard anything yet. I need something simple, effective, and small. The battery powered LED strings that I’ve found would work great if the battery box was smaller... just can’t fit a box with three AAA batteries into the space and don’t want to have to wire it through a base or something.

If you live in the continental US, go with Evans design. https://evandesigns.com/collections/hobby-leds
No soldering, real simple assembly.

    The smallest LED size is pico chip, the smallest battery is 3V coin.

I've been using these guys for years, and I'm more than happy with them. Actually there is a size smaller than pico, zico. I used pico for my 3.75 yoda light. The battery, is pretty big. Unless you rig something up yourself with smaller batteries their smallest is the  coin cell.

I haven’t seen the Zico size yet but Jdeck has the solution, Cal.
I have used these same brand lights before and I prefer their ease of use and quality of construction compared to cheaper lots of single LEDs that I have ordered from eBay.
  I know they have versions with a built in flashing circuit as well.
