Evolutions Clone Commandos
« on: September 10, 2009, 06:49:06 PM »
A Walmart exclusive priced at $24.96, This is one of the Evo packs that alot of us were excited about when It was announced at SDCC.

The Imperial Special Forces Storm Commando is basically a repop of the biker scout but with a different head sculpt, different legs, and different belts and holsters. He is quite super arty and the paint is just killer. He comes with two pistols one long and one short that both fit into his belt mounted holsters.

The Alpha Arc Trooper is pretty much a repaint of the comic pack arc and comes with the standard arc trooper rifle, Kama, pauldron, and removable helmet. to me, the head sculpt looks different but it could be the paint. There is a touch of grey in his hair at the temples. He is superarty and includes a small hand communicator.

the Omega Squad Fi Skirata is the one that all of us are curious about and from the legs up, He is a repainted scorch. The new legs do have articulated knees and ankles. He comes with one of the Omega Squad rifles and backpacks plus, there is a removable leg device as well.

Good looking set folks. Now If I could just get my hands on the Imperial Pilots series II

I got screwed,  I had to pay $24.95 at my Walmart.  I like the figs ok, I like the grey hair treatment on the ARC, plays off the axcellerated aging well, Fi, is nice but I don't like the paint scheme much, not what I had in mind, The shadow commando is nice, The holster could lend well to a mando custom

I really just want 4 each of the Republic Commando and Storm Commando, but I'm not spending $100 for them!  I wish they'd redesign these packages like the originals, with the flip up part to showcase all of the accessories.

why did they change that?  the flip up feature too expensive?!

man I love that imperial commando... Definately going to have to get me one of those.   Of course I'll give it my joe hip surgery and give him some super articulation of course.  I've got a speeder bike I'm working on for a shadow custom that I think this guy will be perfect for.

if any of you guys get that set and would like to part with him let me know... or perhaps if I get the set and want the other two guys.

My favorite figure the Storm Commando, I am waiting on the General Weir comic pack to build a large army of Storm Commandos. I just wish Hasbro would make there APC that would be nice.  I have no use for the other 2 figures in this set.

Does the Storm Commando appear in any EU books or Comics? Or has Hasbro just made up an Imperial Trooper? It does look good though. I am kinda ticked they didn't give the new ARC an Ordo face sculpt or the Fi a full superarty job. Why go halfway when just a few small things could have made a pack that was over the top. I also remember when these were twenty bucks and had the covers that would flip up so you could see what was in em. I remember driving all day to find em with my mom. She hasn't gone shopping with me since!
