Believe it or not my printer was $275 :-) The monoprice IIIP, which is basically a Prusa i3 or WanHao i3 rip off, and the best thing is it's highly upgradeable, both from printed parts and cheap enhancements (customizable 3-d printer). I found it to be well worth the minimal investment as it's got me into the world of 3d modeling again (I used to do a bit with Maya and Bryce back in the day).

I do not watch it, the g0t0 probably took 6-7 hours, mainly because of the build height I have 0.04mm which is really small, if I bumped that to .1 mm it would reduce that time by a little more than half. Which I think I am going to give a try as I heard the build height at .3-.4 is fine, but I want to keep my details sharp so going to try .1 to speed up the process. Do I sit and watch, absolutely not, I let it go while I'm sleeping or at work, manual says not to, but everyone does. I actually got a webcam to hook up in front just to check on progress.  As far as the nozzle, it's standard whatever came with my cheapo printer (https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=13860) I have a few upgrades for it stabilizers for the axes I printed and a glass bed, but other than that it is standard.

I'll try to work on getting some process video or something together.

For you fans of vehicles, here is Meetra Surik and Darth Revan's vehicle (the KOTOR version of the millennium falcon I like to think), the Ebon Hawk.

Thanks for the info!

I am seriously thinking about perhaps getting one of these after I finish my TK Kit. As we get further and further into more tech I can easily see getting the "good stuff" down the road may entail downloading a design from your local toy store to print.

Your latest project looks great too. Off to share all this.

How cool is that! I love it!

What a great way to display your loose vintage figures. I wonder if there is any way to figure this out enough to make a sheet big enough to display a loose vintage collection? Man, I would just love to get the old Battle of Hoth Vintage Figures and put em on something like this. Off to share!
