I love her.  I have to dig mine out.
Did you get the microphones with the figures?
Those go for a pretty penny.
Thanks bud! Yeah they aren't cheap, now that you mention it . Lol. Like $20, for the whole set, 2 mics+ clarinet. It's a must have though, especially for a dio, or something. Im pretty certain they're reproductions, I don't care about that.

Thank you Foxtrot! Painting isn't my strong point, but it's getting better.

Trying Swamp Thing different.

I started a figure, the cool thing about this figure is it's also a diorama. I'm talking about Swamp Thing! A week or two ago I ran across a retro TV station that was airing the USA network Swamp Thing. I had completely forgotten how awesome ole swampy was. I looked around the internet and I couldn't find a figure that I liked. Mostly the new 52 version. I wanted the Alan Moore style. So I  thought how hard can it be to make my own. I talked to my brother who is a comic and 6 inch figure guru, about the project. We agreed that the Guardians of the galaxy Drax would be a good base figure. The other option was Hulk, but he is just too big. Of course I added the Baf Groot lower legs, by cutting and attaching using brass tubing. That gives him a little more height and its a good substitute for the boots. I did a preliminary sculpt on the Drax face to give him a more skeletal look, similar to a burn victim.   I get my miliput tomorrow so I can sculpt his roots and vine like muscles and details.  I'll use diorama plants for some of the details. I may make him a statue due to the possibility of it being very delicate.

Thanks Tamer! My brother's been trying to get me to do comic figures, but I'm not that into comics. Swamp Thing is awesome though. He's like a modern Frankenstein's monster, mixed with the creature from the Black Lagoon.

Trying Swamp Thing different. Pt.2.

I started sculpting the Swamp Thing head, and a little on the torso. I used Miliput Standard. I still have a whole lot more sculpting to do, but this is the basic skull anyway. I removed the hands, because I'm replacing them possibly with ML Jackal hands.

I got most if not all the sculpting done. I painted it up, to see how it'll look. I may or may not sculpt more detail. I still have plants to add.

Thanks Tamer. I think its coming together. Speaking of Swamp Thing, it rained like crazy last night. The whole metro area is a huge swamp, so I've got some inspiration possibly for a figure base  dio.
